Eventually I made my way to my room, and avoided everyone. I cried more until I fell back asleep. When I woke up the next morning I felt like throwing up. I didn't realize how much I cared about him until now. He on the other hand knew, and threw it in my face. I got dressed in sweats and a shirt, and made my way to the Avengers level. I made sure my smile looked genuine, and the red from eyes was gone. When I got down, everyone including Loki was eating breakfast.
I had to be happy.
"Morning bitches!"
Steve glared me down, and in return I walked over to him and booped his nose.
"Aren't you a cute little golden retriever."
He just continued to glare, so I looked over to Bucky.
"Did you give him blue balls or something?"
Bucky scoffed, and Sam snorted.
"We aren't-"
I cut Bucky off, "Yes you are! Everyone can see the sexual tension, so just admit it!"
He shook his head, and I threw my hands in the air.
"I'm with Sharon." Steve muttered.
I turned back to him with a challenging look, "Oh are you now?"
I pulled out my phone, and scrolled down to her contact. When I was younger I had met Peggy, therefor I also ended up meeting Sharon. She trained me for a while, and now we kinda talk but aren't close. It ringed a few times before she picked up.
"Hey y/n, is everything ok?"
I put her on speaker, "Oh yeah. I was just wondering if you and Cap are together?"
She chuckled a little, "No, I could've sworn he was with Bucky."
I smiled triumphantly, "That's all, thanks Sharon!"
"Ok... bye."
I hung up with a smile.
Steve groaned along with Bucky.
"We aren't together!" They yelled in unison.
I shrugged, "The jury's out- you are together, and nothing can tell me otherwise."
They both groaned again, and I just smiled 'happily'. I snuck a glance at Loki to see he was smirking while reading his book. I wish I could be curled up with him on the couch. I shook my head, and grabbed an apple before skipping back to my room.
Third Person:
Once y/n was out of earshot the group shared a look.
Steve was the first to speak up, "I thought you hurt her Loki."
The god grumbled a little, "I must have been mistaken."
"No, you weren't." Tony spoke up, "That's how she is. She likes to hide it from other people, but if she was crying- she's hurt."
Loki shoved his head further into his book. Everyone stared at him before Sam spoke up.
"Why'd you do it man? If she liked you, and you liked her why not kiss and whatever?"
The raven haired man kept his face in his book, "I was going to hurt her, and she does not need that."
The billionaire mumbled something to himself before exiting the kitchen. Everyone dropped the subject, and Loki disappeared into his room.
Back To You:
I laid in my bed, silently eating my apple. Was I really that much of a joke to him? He knew just how to string me along before letting go. Before calling me lesser than him. He was just like Justin. Evil and cunning. I finished my apple, and tossed it into the bin across my room. I just sat on my bed, and played my "Sad" playlist. After a few songs there was an incredibly annoying knock on my door. One that was followed with constant others.
"I'm busy!"
The knocking didn't stop.
"Go away!"
It stopped, only to start again. "I'm going to come in! You better not be naked!"
Wade.
The door flew open, and in came Wade. He locked the door behind him, and sat on my bed.
"You ok?"
I smiled, "Why wouldn't I be?"
The merc shook his head in a disappointed manner, "Come on N/n, you haven't been answering my calls. You only do that when you're mad, or upset."
I crossed my arms, "Well maybe I'm mad you."
He put a hand over his heart, and fell back in a dramatic way. "I'm hurt, truly!"
I chuckled a little, and he sat back up. "What's going on?"
I shrugged, "I did something stupid."
"What did you do?"
I bit my lip trying not to cry, "I fell for the god of mischief." I laughed at myself.
Wade's eyes widened, "The greasy haired cutie?!"
He quickly apologized, "Sorry, serious talk. Why's that so bad?"
I hit my head against the headboard, "I had a stupid dream, and he saw it. When I woke up he pretended he was going to kiss me, and instead told me he would never because he was a god and I'm a Midgardian."
His face got serious, "Did they start again?"
I shook my head and a few tears slipped past my eyes, "That was only yesterday."
"But you think they will?"
I nodded, and more tears slipped down. He pulled me into a tight hug, and rubbed my back. His phone started going off, and he started mumbling curses.
"It's fine Wade, you've got merc stuff to do."
He gave me a weak smile before leaving from my balcony. Dad burst into my room the second he was gone.
"Uh.... hi."
He frowned and stayed in the doorway, "What's gonna happen?"
I pretended to be confused, "What're you talking about?"
He sighed, "I heard your conversation with whats-his-face, what do you think is gonna start?"
I looked away from him, "Nightmares." I mumbled it so low, I didn't know if he could actually hear me.
"About what?" So he could.
I swallowed hard, "Justin."
"Justin?" He looked overly confused.
I just nodded my head, and he started to leave.
"If they do happen... come talk to me."
I nodded my again, and he left me alone. It was an odd interactions, but I didn't really care nor did I think about it too much.
