Leonardo: Remind me again as to why we aren't using our own jets?
Snakes took a peek at the source of the voice behind him as they walked to the entrance of the airplane they were traveling with.
Snakes: We can't attract attention Capone, using our jets will raise suspicion.
He spoke with proficiency, he knew that using their jets would raise suspicion to the Russians hence they had booked a flight under fake names and fake passports as common people.Leonardo: Right, of course.
Snakes raised his eyebrows still looking ahead to his seat in the economy flight, he wondered as to why his friend seemed rather lost, it was rather weird to see him like that, he was always a man with no fuck ups. The sector stood empty, having only Leonardo, Snakes and two of their guards who had to dress up as ordinary people. The two gentlemen took their seats, followed by their men.
Snakes: You alright Capone?
Leo was caught up in a trance as he looked outside the window, the flight had took off a few minutes ago after they had settled. He answered back without taking his eyes off the window.
Leo: I'm worried about mi familia, those people have had my back for as long as I can remember. I can't let anyone of them get hurt in this war, you know Italianos take pride in it's people.
Snakes got a clear vision of his friends distraught, how could he had forgotten that this man had a whole country depending on him in this war, families could be lost, but that was what Mafia was about, live of die.Snakes decided to not take the matter further instead took out his phone and got crashing on Candy Crush. No one knew his obsession with the game, neither could he explain his infatuation with it.

A few hours later, the boys had landed in South Africa, having been escorted by Snakes' people to their car after necessary precautions of security. Snakes didn't even want to do the whole ordeal of being diminished by people who get paid the bare minimum of what he makes in an hour. But Leo had affirmed on heeding every precaution. The car drove for half an hour, before reaching their destination at Snakes' bungalow.
Leo had wanted to book a hotel till he found a decent house, he had never been in South Africa before, it had been his first time for him. It was honestly a miracle to meet Snakes on the other side of the continent and actually share the exact business. Had they not met two years ago in Milan, he wouldn't have found the help he needed to go to war with the Russian Mafia. He settled himself comfortably in the guest room, it was vast but nothing compared to his own room back at home, it lacked his taste and his dark ambiance but it fit for him, for now.
Snakes sighed, having the feeling of being home distant to him. He had missed this place. He had bought a new house after his tumble with the love of his life, it was too much anguish for him to go on with living in the same house where everything tormented him, he saw her everywhere. He let it glide and got up instead, taking large strides to the bathroom and taking a shower. Later that night, he had been done with his shower and got into bed in his joggers only.
He took out the most valuable thing he had of her, he started skimming through the letter for what felt like the millionth time. He didn't care though, to him it was a reminder that their love was still living and he'd wait for as long as it took for her to come to him.
Snakes: It's been too long my love, too long without your warm smile, your gray orbs glistening with love that was for me, way to long without your warm skin against mine, it's been too long since I held you close to my chest, since I kissed your lips.He felt the burning of fresh tears in his eyes but he didn't let them fall. Instead he folded the piece of paper and put it away safely.

Lisa watched as Ronnie and Betty danced to a song that was playing on the TV. They loved to goof around the house, especially on weekends. She sighed at the thought of going back to the dreaded place the following week, she was not ready to share her secret with her family yet, but maybe it was meant to be, it had been three years. She inwardly cringed at their disappointed and angry reactions when they find out she had kept something so deep and precious from them.
The microwave dinged, signalling it was done with the noodles. She put them away to cool off a bit before walking to the living room and joining the two idiots, it was futile for her to be thinking about the fated. She mustered her best smile and joined in the singing. Betty looked at her, Lisa knew that Betty knew she wasn't okay, after she had told her everything Betty had offered her undying support for her friend in whatever decision she made.
Lisa shook her head, she knew she understood that she didn't want to talk about it nor dwell into it much. 'I guess I'm going back home, this time with a lot more than before' she thought to herself as she looked at an attempting to dance Veronica. She loved that soul.
