You could have been happy

Hope walked in the school doors, She had got back late last night with Lizzie and the first thing she did after greeting Alaric, Caroline and Reluctantly Finch, was go to her old room. Walking in she sighed, Everything and nothing had changed at the same time. The room was still set out the way Hope used to have it but now in place of the photos of her and Josie, Were photos of Josie and Finch, And in place of Josie's scent, All she could smell was wolf. Sighing she went and opened the drawers but they were full. Hope pulled out a top that she instantly knew was Josie's then pulled out another top that she could only assume was Finch's. Growling she threw Finch's top back in the drawer, but kept Josie's and put it in her bag. Turning around Hope went to leave the room when Finch walked in "Feeling sentimental?" Hope sighed trying to play nice "Nope, Just thought my room would still be my room". Finch shook her head "No, It's Josie's now. At first Alaric kept it for you, but after you sent for the rest of your stuff He gave it to Josie and me I guess as I'm almost always with her". Hope nodded and went to leave again to get out of this conversation, when Finch spoke once more "You can probably stay In Lizzies room, she doesn't have a roommate these days, I'm sure she could use the company". Hope nodded once again and left taking a deep breath. 

Hope headed to Lizzies room knocking before being called in. Hope walked in Seeing Lizzie laying in bed "Can I stay with you?" Lizzie nodded "Yeah, I assumed you would be staying in your old room, but I guess Finch didn't want you there". Hope nodded "No she didn't" Lizzie just smiled Apologetically as Hope opened her bag grabbing Josie's top and a pair of shorts out. Going into Lizzie's bathroom Hope got dressed, before walking out and Climbing in Josie's old bed. Sitting there for a second she heard Lizzie talk "Is that my sisters top?" Hope looked down and nodded "Yeah, why?" Lizzie shook her head grinning "No reason". Hope just shrugged as both her and Lizzie settled down. 

Hope was woken by Lizzie "Hey Hope wake up, Dad called everyone down to the office, lets go". Hope stretched then climbed out of bed, before following Lizzie down the halls of the school. Walking in she saw Finch, Caroline and Alaric sitting around the desk. Walking over She sat next to Finch who instantly looked at her eyes flashing gold for a second as she registered what Hope was wearing "Is that my girlfriends top?" Hope just nodded not bothered by the clear anger in Finch's voice "Why are you wearing her top? She's not yours anymore Hope She's mine". Hope grinned as she turned around lifting her arm So Finch could see it "That's where your wrong see, this mark on my arm Binds me to her so actually. She is mine". Finch looked at Hopes arm then mirrored Hopes grin "If that's the mark that binds you then I don't need to worry, Looks like its about to vanish any day now". Hope quickly snapped around and looked at the mark and sure enough it was almost completely faded. Hope felt panic set in but was distracted from it for a brief second when she overheard Alaric speaking to Caroline and Lizzie "Josie was seen in the grill about 10 minutes ago".  Without even a second thought Hope grabbed Alaric's truck keys and vamped out of the office. Hope was silent the entire way to the grill. Just thinking about seeing Josie again made Hope feel nervous but she knew that she needed to Get Josie back before their bond was lost. 

Hope walked back to Alaric's truck feeling irritated, Not only had she failed to get through to Josie, but she was sure that she had just pissed her off. Climbing back into Alaric's truck Hope started driving back towards the Salvatore school. Once she got through the gates Hope got out and was instantly met with Finch "I'm assuming your attempt at heroism didn't work". Hope rolled her eyes "Well obviously not as she's not here". Finch just sighed as she began walking back into the school with Hope when she heard a voice "Finch, don't tell me your friends with Mikaelson now". Finch and Hope turned around as Josie stood in front of them. Finch frowned seeing blood around Josie's lips and on her chin "Obviously not, but if she can get you to turn your humanity back on then who knows". Josie walked forward Putting her hand on Finch's cheek "Awh, baby, do you miss me that much". Finch Swallowed thickly before looking into Josie's eyes "Yes". Josie smiled and leaned in kissing her before pulling away. Once Josie had pulled away from Finch she Looked At Hope as she used her finger to trace across on Hopes Skin as she circled her. "What to do about you? Kill you? Nah to easy. How about torture you? Nah to Mikaelson. Wait, I know. I could do the one thing that would break your heart". Hope looked away unsure how to react to Josie but Josie grabbed her face forcing her to look at her "I could love someone who isn't you". Josie leaned in to kiss Hope but Hope pushed Josie off of her and growled flashing her eyes. Josie laughed before shaking her head "You know, I missed you when you left, you were the one girl who was supposed to love me, Who was actually destined to be with me. Josie pulled her sleeve up showing Hope her Mark that was slowly turning into a scar. you want to know a little secret about me Hope? Hope stood still as Josie walked up to her and put her hands each side of her head before quickly chanting a spell. Within seconds Hope was seeing flashes of her and Josie, but it was all the things she couldn't see. She saw as Josie watched her sleep while smiling, She watched the way Josie looked at her as she was looking away then she saw a flash of Josie talking to her while she was sleeping and then she heard every word Josie said "I'm sorry about everything that has happened, I'm going to try and make things better. I know I can't give you what you need anymore. But I won't stop trying to help you, I love you Hope Mikaelson".

Josie pulled her hands away and Hope felt tears building up "You Loved me every step of the way, you didn't care if I was stronger than you or not, You loved me for me". Josie grinned and nodded staring down at her "And you walked away, Poor Hope feeling like a victim after my girlfriend kicked your ass. Pity love, you could have been happy and alive, Instead of dead and remorseful". After speaking Josie Took one last Look at Finch blowing her a kiss before vamping off. Leaving Hope and Finch at the boarding school doors.
