Never enough

Chapter 1

I wake up to the sound of my alarm. I reach for my phone trying to turn it off. When I walk to the kitchen, I see that breakfast is already ready. 'Looking forward to your first day?' Liam asks as he pours some orange juice for me. 'Kinda' I answer. I'm actually pretty nervous to go. The boys decided to take a break from te band in the hope to have some more time with me. They wanted me to get a more normal life, so they decided to let me go to school. I've never really been to school since I've been adopted. And that was 9 years ago. 'It's gonna be allright' Harry says as he puts his hand on my shoulder. 'I'm sure you're gonna have friends in no time!'

As soon as we're done eating breakfast, I run upstairs to get ready for school. I've already packed my bag and prepared an outfit, so I wouldn't have to worry about that kinda stuff today. It actually was Liam's idea. I think the boys know how nervous I am for today. I've never really been good at making new friends. Talking to people kinda scares me. I never know what to talk about and I'm always afraid to bore them. I get snaped out of my thoughts as I hear someone knock at my door. I turn around and I see Louis walk in. 'Are you allright sweetie?' he asks me. I nod. 'Good, we're leaving within 15 minutes, make sure you're ready' I feel a tear come down my face as he walks out of my room. How am I going to survive this day?

'Call me when something is wrong' Louis says as I get out of the car. 'I will! Thanks for driving!' I blow him a kiss and join the large group walking towards the entrance of the school. Here we go.

'Katie Williams is joining us today, I expect all of you to make her feel welcome' I hear the teacher say as I stand in front of my new classmates. I feel my face turn red. I look around trying to find someone who looks nice to make friends with. 'You can take a seat next to Jessica.' A girl waves at me. I feel everyone staring at me as I walk towards her. 'Hi my names Jessica' the girl whispers as I put my bag on the table next to her. 'Aren't you like, the daughter of One Direction? You have five hot dads. Like that's so cool!' I have no idea what to say, so I just give her an awkward smile. 'Could you get me their signatures? I'd like to brag about it to my friends!' She almost yells. The theacher gives her a strict look and then continues with the lesson. 'Sure' I sigh. Is that really all I am? A famous boyband's daughter?

It's lunch break. I'm trying to find the cafeteria, but pretty much get lost. 'Hey new one!' I turn around as I see a boy walking towards me. He has beatifull blew eyes and brown hair. 'You're lost aren't you? I'll show you the way to the cafeteria' he says as he turns around and starts walking. I try to keep up with him with great strides. The further we walk the more noise I hear. The second we arrive at the caffeteria I get over-stimulated. There are people yelling, walking, talking, throwing stuff and even fighting everywhere. It's like I went to look at the monkeys at a zoo. I look up to the boy. 'Thanks for leading the way' I tell him. 'No probs mate! Maybe we could have lunch together. What do you think?' 'Yes that sounds fun' I tell him as I feel a warm feeling go trough my body. Maybe I am going to make friends in this place.

'So, what's your name?' I ask the boy as we take a seat at the table with our lunch. 'I'm Luke' he answers 'and you're Katie right?' I nod at him. 'Well how do you like it here?' he asks me. 'I don't know.. I guess I still have to get used to going to school.' 'I get that' he chuckels 'You should give me your number, I'd like hanging out with you sometime.' Really? Would he really want to hang out with me? 'Sure' I try to say it as casually as possible, but from the inside I'm filled happiness.
