My grounding has finally ended. Keith is throwing a party today. Sophie, Emma and I have agreed to get ready for it together.
Before sophie came to pick me up, Louis took me aside. 'I really hope you learned from last time Kat. The boys and I agreed that you can have one beer tonight. Nothing more'. I nod in agreement. "Thank you!" I say as I hug him. I hear a car horn. That must be Sophie. I grab my makeup bag and get out of the door.
Getting ready together is actually really fun. Emma is helping me with my makeup while Sophie is filling us in with the latest gossip. I don't know half of the people she's talking about but that does not make me any less infested. 'You look beautiful Katie! You should wear makeup more often.' Emma says. That didn't exactly sound like a compliment. "Thanks" I say. 'No, really. You're stunning. You really are.' Sophie says. She is the sweetest. "Thank you Sophie. So are you!" When Sophie leaves the room to use the bathroom, emma moves closer to me. 'Your diet isn't really working, is it?' She whispers in my ear. I look at her in shock. She has a mean smile on her face.
As soon as we get to the party, I am greeted by Luke and Caleb. 'We haven't seen you in so long. I'm glad you're back' says Luke. I feel my cheeks grow warm. Thankfully it is dark. All through the party I have been hanging out with Luke. I feel Emma's eyes on me all the time. Luke and I are outside drinking a beer, when his friends drag him along to beer-pong. Luke gives me an apologetic look. "It's fine" I mouth. I don't mind. I enjoy the cool breeze. It was verry hot inside. Suddenly Emma stands next to me. 'Maybe you should start being more aware of your calorie intake Katie. Drinking beer won't help you lose weight.'
