Never enough

Chapter 10

It's only 5:30 in the morning when my alarm clock rings. I quickly turn it off before it wakes the boys. I put on my gym clothes and walk downstairs. "Where are you going?" My heart skips a beat. 'Jesus, you scared me!' I turn around and see Liam standing there. 'I'm going for a run'. "That's new. I thought you hated running.". I feel my cheeks get warmer. 'I just want to be a little healthier' I say. I walk towards the door but I am stopped by Liam "You should eat something first though". I grab a banana and step outside.

Running was tough. When I got back home, I was completely out of breath. When I walk in the house, I run right up the stairs. I get undressed so I can take a shower, but I am distracted by the scale that is on the bathroom floor. Weighing myself can't hurt. I push my foot on the scale to turn it on. When the scale shows a zero, I step on it. The scale loads for a moment and then shows a number. 121 lbs. Is that a lot?

When I'm back in my room, I open my phone and search how to lose weight. I open some links that come up and read the tips. I quickly close the sites when I hear someone knocking on my bedroom door. 'Come in', I say. The door slowly opens and Liam walks in. "How was your run?' he asks as he puts my laundry basket on my bed. 'It was fine' I say. "Do you have any plans today?" Liam asks. I shake my head. 'Not really.' I mumble. "Good. Maybe you can finally do your homework." Liam says as he leaves my room. I sigh. That is the last thing I wanted to do today.

I look at the time. It's eleven o'clock. I finished all of my homework already. I walk downstairs hoping the boys could entertain me. "Finished?" I hear Liam ask. 'Yeah'. "Kat, do you want to go to Target with me? I need to buy some stuff." Harry asks. Now that's what I'm talking about. 'Duh' I say as I hurry to grab my shoes.
