Chapter 1

I mean seriously? I can't even meet my own family now? Its all bullshit. Screw these people. I want to see mom dad. I don't want a fucking email to tell me about their well being. Its already hard living like a rogue. 1 thing that keeps me strong is my family and I can't fucking see them.

I think I should tell you what all this is about. Well lets do the intro 1st.

I am Grace Brooks. Daughter of the Alpha of Moon Crest pack. I am soon-to-be 18. I don't live with my pack. No,of course not, I am kicked out of my pack. My family loves me. So do my pack. But being an Alpha daughter also brings responsibilities. Our pack is different from all other packs. We have some different powers that moon goddess have gifted us as we belonged to the family of star wolves, 1st wolf family. I don't know but our life is at risk. By our I mean mine and Jason's, my brother. When I was 15, mom and dad gave us orders to leave the pack and live among the humans. They told us never to engage with any wolf. So we have been living separately. I and Jason also live away from each other among humans.

"Grace come on." I heard Bella shout from the kitchen.

"Coming." I said as I quickly pack my bagpack.

Bella is my BFF. She is the daughter of the beta of my pack. She's blond with green eyes which make her look beautiful. I,on the other hand,am black haired with ice blue eyes. We both live together since we left the pack. We had mixed our scents with humans. Its hard for wolves to find out about us now. We have recently moved to a new town. There's only one pack here, the Black Moon. I have heatd its a very strong pack and the Alpha is a badass.

"Not badass." Bella said as I sat in the stool at the kitchen island. "He's completely ruthless. Cruel. Angel of death as the others call him."

"We have to stay out of his way Bells." I said to her as I take a bite of my pancakes.

"Yup." She nodded. "I'll go get my bag." She said as she went to her room.

We had bought a small apartment. 2BHK and a cute little living room. Dad sent money every month so we were good.

Bella came down after 5 minutes and we both began to walk to school. It was only 15 minutes walk. We talked a bit of here and there.

"So we are simple teenage girls choosing wrong boys to make out with." Bella said as we reached the school.

"You don't wanna wait?" I asked her.

"I want to." She said sadly." I want to happen it soon."

I was too waiting to find my mate. I really want someone who will love me like my dad loves and adores my mom. I am tired of waiting. Alpha's are supposed to find their mates when they turn 16 but now I am already 18.

"I think I should just give up now." I sighed.

I am suddenly hit by a strong scent of fresh wood and of after-rain sand. I look straight and see a boy same of my age looking here and there. He had these brown messed up hair and light brown eyes. Perfectly built. 6'5. Just breath-taking-ly handsome. I can already tell he's an alpha. I quickly look at Bella before he turns to me.

"Too soon to say, huh?" She smirks.

"Shut up." I said as I heard him say "Mine".

"Now what are we gonna do?" She mind-links me.

"Lets go to the office." I said aloud. "And forget this happened. He's an alpha. We have to stay far away."

"Ok." She nodded.

Gaining my strength back I marched right pass my mate. Didn't even look at him. I know he was having trouble deciding if I was a human or not.

I and Bella were in the same classes, we had made sure of it. So headed towards our locker 1st and then to the 1st class i.e. Maths.

"I hate maths." I said as I took a seat at the back of the class.

"I know. I am glad its the last year of high school. Though I'll miss all the fun." Bella said with a sigh.

"Hey." A blond girl with specs turned to us. "You are new."

"Yes. I am Bella Forbes." Bella said.

"I am Grace Brooks." I said.

"I am Maria Fox." She said. "You both are very beautiful."

"Oh, why, thank you." I said. "You too are pretty. I guess you top the class?"

"Yeah that's why I don't have any friends." She said sadly. "They think all I do is study so they all ignore me like a disease."

"Oh come-on!" Bella said. "We are your friends. Right Grace?"

I just nodded coz I was distracted by my mate's scent which was getting stronger by every passing second. Then he entered the class. All eyes turned to him. I too turned slowly. He looked at me and then smirked. He came and sat next to me.

"I am Caleb McIver." He said in a sexy husky voice.

"I am Grace Brooks." I said to him and turned towards Bella.

"Grace." He said. I could hear him smiling.

"Bella what are we gonna do?" Paniced I mind link her.

"Your mate is the alpha of Black Moon pack. Ruthless. Cruel and..."

"Don't talk about him like that." I snapped at her.

"Sorry Grace. Now what are we gonna do? We can't risk exposing ourselves to him. Better to ignore him." She said.

"I am trying Bells. But having alpha blood is no help. It had made the bond stronger." I said.

"So how are you here?" I hear that deep voice again.

I turn to him. "Excuse me?"

"I mean you are new here." He said.

"Well that is none of your concern." I said.

He looked taken aback my response. He knew that mates doesn't talk to each other like that. He thinks I am human but still have some doubts. He knows I am special.

How can I say what he is thinking? Well like I said we possessed some powers. Mind reading is among mine powers. So is being untraced as I leave no pawprints and create different illusions of sounds and visions. I can change apperances to my wolf too but I prefer mine original snow white color. I guess our special powers have put us in danger...

"You can't talk to me like that." He said after recovering.

"And why is that?" I asked him. "Its not like you are the king. Is it?"

He smiled at me. "Fiesty! I like it."

He clearly enjoyed it. He didn't say a word after and just listened to teacher. Only listened as he kept staring at me.

"Go to mate! Mate! Grace I wanna touch him." My wolf cried.

"Shut up Lia you know I can't risk it. We can't let him know who we are. Can we?" I asked her.

"Just a touch Grace." She cried.

"Lia please. For our family?" I asked her.

"For our family." She said and kept quiet.
