Chapter 12

So my mate set some rules. I won't lie and say I am okay with it. I am far from being 'okay' but since she feels uncomfortable I am gonna restrain myself as much as I could. Won't be easy but hey I can try.

I am standing at my car, waiting for Grace to come out of school which has now ended. I had to leave school after the lunch for some pack business so I haven't seen Grace since then. After waiting for eternity, I see Grace walking out with that human boy. I choke back a growl when he walks a little closer to her. I know Grace won't appreciate it.

Grace looks away from him and straight at me, she smiles brightly. My heart is content now. She runs towards me and as soon she hugs me, I pick her up in my arms.

"I missed you." Grace says breathlessly.

"I missed you more." I said before kissing her.

"Where did you go? I was looking for you." She asks.

"I had some pack business to attend." I fell her and she nods.

"Umm..Grace.." I hear a low voice and turn to see the same boy. Now why is he here? Can't he see she's mine and he's not supposed to even look at her.

"Ryan...sorry..." She say apologetically. Why is she sorry? It's not like he's her boyfriend and she left him to meet me. I am her boyfriend.

'No you are not.' Kyle says.

'What?'

'You will have to ask her out for date and then ask her to be your girlfriend.'

'What's the big deal? I mean, she already know that we are mates.'

'You are an idiot. Just do as I say if you want her to be yours forever.'

'Forever. Fine.'

Huh...now I have to set up a date. If that's what makes Grace happy I'll do it.

I turn to her and see that Ryan boy is leaving now.

I put my hand around her waist and escort her to the car. I open the door to let her in. She paused before stepping in and turned to me and smiled.

'She's happy in small things. We have the best mate.' Kyle says.

'I already know that.'

I close the door after her and go to my side. I drive off the school parking lot but not before I see that human boy looking towards us. I will put him in place. I don't want anyone to come between me and Grace.

"So how was your day?" I asked.

"Boring. We got a project in English. Ryan and I are partners." She said and I hit brakes.

"What the hell?" Grace shrieked.

"I am sorry. I think I heard wrong. You and Ryan are partners?" I asked. Kyle was pacing in my head. He was not happy with this too.

"Yea. That's what I said. Why? What's wrong?" Grace asked confused.

I can't tell her that I am not happy with her being with Ryan coz I already said I will tolerate him and I don't want Grace to be angry with me again and set any more rules.

"I just...I am too in that class. Why aren't we partners?" I asked. Well, that was easy.

"Coz you were not present. And the teacher said you never do any work in group so might as well let you do the work alone." She said.
