Chapter 29

Rachel's POV
I don't know what is happening, one minute I'm shopping online then the next.. no I can't be, it's impossible.

I look next to me to see Finn driving as fast as he can but still going at a safe speed. I can see the fear in his body as he's back behind the wheel, he said he can't remember what happened but I'm sure he knows that he got into a car accident.

The pain hasn't stopped, it's getting worse. I feel as if someone is stabbing me continuously in my lower abdomen.

"Rach, you don't think..." I hear Finn say quietly, keeping his eyes firmly on the road.

"No, don't say it, I'm sure it's nothing" I try to reassure the both of us.

As Finn drives into the hospital car park, the pain gets sharper and more regular, I try and not to scream in pain but I couldn't hold it in. Finn looks at me with fear in his eyes, he attempts to park as close to the hospital as possible, getting out the car we begin to walk towards the main entrance. My hand doesn't leave my stomach.

Once we get into the reception area, the pain is getting too much. I look up to Finn and all I see is fear running through him. I want to tell him I'm okay, but I'm not. I let out a scream.

"Nurse! Can we get a nurse over here!" I hear Finn shout.

Too focused on the pain rushing through my body I fail to realise I'm being transported into a separate room away from the reception.

I'm aloud onto the hospital bed which is positioned against the centre of the wall. I grip hold of my stomach as another wave of excruciating pain runs through me.

Our regular nurse runs into the room. She doesn't even check down there, she just looks at me and Finn then nods her head.

"Rachel, it seems like your in early labour" she confirms my fear.

I look straight into Finn's eyes. The fear which was once in his eyes has changed to worry.

"Finn, I can't do this, I'm only five months gone.. The baby isn't ready" I cry.

Finn takes my hand and looks at me with encouragement. He takes his other hand,which isn't squeezing mine, and brings it to my cheek. He begins to slowly rub it. "I know you can do this, be strong like you were when I was laying in that hospital bed"
