Chapter 23

Rachel's POV

It's been two days since Finn was discharged from the hospital and don't get me wrong I'm so happy he's awake and out but I've got to do things for the both of us, not including the baby and I'm so tired and stressed. On top of looking after Finn, his mum, Burt and Kurt are coming over for dinner tonight.

It's just gone nine o'clock in the morning and I've just helped Finn get dressed and get downstairs. I snatch my coat from the chair and grab a bottle of Smart Water out of the fridge.

"I'm going to get the stuff for dinner tonight, I won't be long.. Love you!" I call over to Finn.

After parking in the 'Whole Foods' car park I hop out of the car and make my way into the store with my grocery list. Even though I've just hit five months, I'm still pretty fit and I don't struggle to do stuff which I guess is lucky.

After collecting everything which was on my list I go to wait inline with my trolley, while waiting my phone goes off and I realise I'm getting a phone call from Finn.

"Hey Babe.." I hear Finn say cheerfully down the phone.

"Hi.." I reply.

"I just got off the phone with Kurt and he suggested instead of just mum, Burt and himself just come round.. why don't we invite a load of people?" Finn suggests.

"Urm..Urm.." I stutter down the phone. I didn't even want to have this dinner let alone host a party. "Yeah that's fine" My mouth replies before my brain could even think.

"Great.. I'll see you in a bit" Finn says before hanging up. Turning around I leave the line and go to put back all of the original groceries and grab some party food.

After waiting an hour to pay for all the food I finally arrive home to see Kurt,Burt and Carole already there. Burt and Kurt run up to me and take all of the shopping bags off of me and take them to the kitchen.

"Thanks Guys.. Hi Carole, how are you?.." I reply, interrupted by myself yawning.

"Rach.. Why don't you go lay down upstairs?" Finn suggests hobbling over to me on his crutches. I look up to him and smile.

I nod. "I might just go do that.." I lean up and kiss him, then walk up the stairs until I reach the bedroom.

Laying down on the bed my eyes instantly close.. Only five minutes.

Finn's POV

I watch as Rachel makes her way upstairs, ever since I got home I've noticed how tired and not herself she's been. That's why I've planned this party to cheer her up.

I turn to my mum and instruct her to go and prepare all of the food. Kurt and Burt come back in from the kitchen and I tell Kurt to go call and invite all of our friends. I asked Burt to go and set up the BBQ outside as well.

(Two Hours Later)

Everyone begins to arrive and get settled in. No one expect Kurt knows why they are here. I've been planning this before the accident. I just hope she enjoys it.

Kurt's POV

Before everyone started to arrive, Finn asked if I could go wake up Rachel and help her get ready for the party.

Slowly opening their bedroom door I see Rachel laying in bed holding her continuously growing stomach.

"Is everything okay?" I ask.

"Yeah.. Everything is perfectly fine." Rachel says softly.

"Well I've got something to make you even happier.." I say with a hint of sarcasm. Rachel looks at me confused. "We need to get you ready for the party".
