Jasmine's P.O.V.
I got out of Justin's reach, and ran till I was out of his site, my shoes imprinting into the soft snow as I paced away. As much as I wanted to stay back in his embrace, and go back to normal life, I couldn't. I couldn't for his career's sake, and most importantly, his sake. I couldn't go back for my own selfish reasons, then have it affect him. I just couldn't. As the apartment building came into view, I slowly walked towards it, while tracing the purple mark on my jaw. The bruise that Justin had noticed and ran his fingers across.
A couple of people were beginning to come across the streets, so I pulled my hat down further and covered my face in my hair while entering the lobby of the building. No one around here bothered me, or cared to notice me, since I kept myself isolated.
I used the stairs and sprinted up to the 7th floor, all the way to the flat. I fumbled with my keys, and barged in, then remembered what I forgot. The errand I was sent out to do, I had totally forgotten about it in a hurry to get back, and away from Justin.
In fright of what may occur when they found out I forgot, I quickly put my shoes on and opened the door to go back and get the coffee he had ordered me to go out for.
Just as I stumbled out, a voice came from behind.
I closed my eyes and tensed up, slowly closing to door, and holding my arms close to me. I fended for myself as he pulled me by my hair and yanked me into the nearest room, closing the door behind. I kept my mouth shut, biting my lip in order to hold back my voice.
"I didn't send you out for nothing. But you came back empty handed," he gritted through his teeth.
He threw me onto the floor, while bringing his mouth up to my ear, "Where were you," he firmly asked.
Refusing to tell him that I met Justin, I quickly thought of a lie.
"I went, and it was to crowded, so I came back in fear that someone would recognize me," I stuttered.
He flashed his pearly crocodile grin, while peering his ocean blue gaze deep into my eyes. He held a knowing look, seeing right through my eyes and raised an eyebrow.
"Lies, lies, lies," he sniffled a laugh, while grabbing me by the collar, and pulling me closer.
"Come on sweetheart, tell James the truth," he began once again.
I tried to avoid his stare, and looked behind him, at the bare cream walls, rather than his face. He dug his fingers deeper around my neck, and abruptly pulled me forward, in a motion to tell me to speak.
I opened my mouth to stutter out another lie, when his phone started ringing. He roughly let go of my collar and shoved me back to the floor, while answering the call.
"Marie.. babe," he lightened up at the sound of the voice on the other line.
Getting distracted, he left me alone and closed the door behind him, sparing me for the day.

Marie's P.O.V.
I smiled to myself while walking into the flat and seeing James waiting on couch for me. He heard my footsteps and got up, and exchanged a warm smile. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and pulled him into an embrace.
"Is she in there?" I asked.
"Yeah, why wouldn't she be? She runs by what we say. She gravely fears what'll come her way if she's not obedient."
I nodded in approval and then got off to go make some arrangements. There was a lot to take care of.
