Justin's P.O.V.

A thousand thoughts and questions ran through my mind as I cruised down the streets towards Marie's apartment. Checking the address and streets every other minute, I came to the realization that I was rather eager to confront Jasmine. It was more due to my anger and the betrayal I was feeling.

The streets became more vacant, and tall office buildings turned into houses which only got smaller and smaller. Taking a look at the street name once more, I identified it and turned left into the run down neighborhood. To my right was her apartment building.

I pulled into the parking lot, gathered my things and took a deep breath to calm myself down. After all, what was there to be scared of when it was only Jasmine. The girl I happened to develop some sort of feelings for, also the girl I shared my music with, and the only girl who was on my mind for the last several months. I pulled up my hood, and put on glasses to avoid any attention. Although the covering wasn't needed in a vacant area such as this, I wanted to take precautions. For all I knew, Marie could have someone watching over Jasmine waiting down in the lobby. She was an overly clever women, not to be tested.

I cleared out my thoughts and scurried into the building, rushing to the elevator. As it went up, I cautiously waited, only to spring out of the shaft as soon as the door opened to the right floor.

I went left, examining and reading the numbers on the doors, getting closer to Marie's residence. Spotting her door, I wasted no time and got the small screw out from my bag and fumbled with the lock. Being careful, and quiet, a grin of satisfaction came upon my face as I opened it.

Putting everything back into my bag, I opened the door slowly, to avoid any creaking. Closing it behind me, I looked around into Marie's apartment.

It was decent, fit for a family. However, knowing Marie, she didn't choose it because it fit her living style, heck a mansion wouldn't fit her standards. She chose this apartment building because it was deserted, and because it would allow her to blend in well. She wouldn't expect me to find it, and I surely wouldn't have if it wasn't for Cole.

I took one last look around, to make sure the place was empty, and continued down the hall. There were about three rooms, and a two bathrooms down the hall, I noticed.

Checking the first door on the right, I found it vacant. Same for the other four doors. Coming to the last door, I took a deep breath before placing my palm on the golden knob and twisting the door open.

A gasp escaped my mouth as I saw someone sprawled across the floor in the corner, fast asleep. Someone known as Jasmine. Her hair was tied up, revealing the few strands of brown that weren't dyed a dirty blond. Her wrists were tied up and a small tray of food sat untouched on the chair beside her.

I approached her, being cautious, not wanting to wake her up or hurt her fragile body. I knew I should have been feeling anything but compassion right now, considering she may have been apart of this plot the whole time, teaming with Marie. However, I couldn't help myself as I kneeled down beside her. I brought a hand to her face and gently stroked her cheek.

As if my hand had been on fire, she jolted awake, being taken back by someone near her. Her eyes widened as she looked up to see me, pushing back away from me.

"What are you doing here," she whispered, eying me intensely, suddenly woken up and recovered from her sleep.

"I think you know what I'm doing here," I replied, only coming closer to her.

She instantly stood up, with her wrists still tied and spoke. "No I don't, but I want you to leave Justin. You can't be here when she comes back."

"When who comes back? Tell me who Jasmine," I spat back, being quite aware of the answer.

Being taken back by my sudden rage, she whispered the answer.

"Marie"

I rolled my eyes while faking a laugh. "What the fuck is she going to do, when she's in L.A. That bitch won't be back till tomorrow, I have time Jasmine. Unless you're worried about your little friend."

"What the fuck Justin?" She spat back, getting confused by what I was saying. "You and I both know that she's nothing to me, and being worried about her sorry ass isn't anything I care to do."

I clenched my teeth while pushing her up against the wall, "Don't lie to me Jasmine. Another thing we both know it that you're lying."

She let out a breath of frustration, staying calm against the wall.

"I don't know what you're talking about Justin."

Sighing, I let her loose and took two steps back. Her gaze followed my hands as I opened up my bag and took out the picture of her and Marie. I violently threw it at her, watching her pick it up from the floor where it fell. She examined the picture, squinting her eyes in disbelief.

"You're stupid Justin," she stated while flicking the picture back at me.

I raised an eyebrow, questioning her response while stepping towards her. Holding her by her waist, I pinned her against the wall again, bringing my face only an inch away from hers.

"Repeat that?" I challenged, "and maybe explain your rational while you're at it,"

She simply rolled her eyes and replied. "You seriously believe a picture that you received from Marie? She's a cunning little bitch, and you know that. That photo's edited and you're stupid for not realizing that. The date of that picture is the day before the fire, and I was with you that whole day."

Realizing my doubt had been true, I nodded in response, letting her loose once again. My sudden calmness was uncalled for, but I had a feeling earlier that the photo could have been edited. I just wanted to hear it from Jasmine herself. Possibly scare her into admitting it, if it wasn't edited. However, I believed her. Marie was cunning, this was the easiest thing she could have done to have me frustrated.

"Oh that's your response Justin? A solemn nod? I didn't expect you would throw such an accusation at me. After all, this whole time I've been rotting in this dungeon, only so I could help you out" Jasmine raged on, slightly pushing me back with her hand.

I didn't know what to say, so I simply apologized, "sorry Jasmine."

"Oh whatever Justin," she sneered, giving me a look of disgust.

"No seriously," I stammered, grabbing a hold of her arm and forcing her to look at me. "I'm sorry. You know about Marie and how easily things get to me. I'm sincerely sorry,"

A smirk flashed upon her face, "Really Justin? Do I really know about Marie?"

"Yes you do," I told her, puzzled and confused by her questions, "I told you back in Toronto.."

She shook her head and widened her cunning grin. "You mean, you lied to me back in Toronto?" She shot back, putting an emphasis on "lied".

I scrambled for words when realizing I'd have to tell her the truth, because she'd finally seen through my lies. She had realized my made up story wasn't true. "I don't know where you're coming from Jasmine."

"Oh please Justin," she snickered, while rolling her eyes. "Don't even attempt to lie to me again. I know your problem with Marie isn't what you told me, you've been lying."

I bit my lip and stared back into the wall. Gathering up my courage, I came to understand that I couldn't lie to her any longer. "Ok I lied" I admitted.

Her eyes shot up, surprised I had admitted it, and didn't continue denying.

"Then tell me Justin," Jasmine spoke up, "Tell me what exactly happened, and what this catastrophe is about"

I nodded, agreeing to tell her the truth.

"Don't lie this time Justin. I'm here for you, not for her, remember that" she assured me, bringing her tied hands up to my chest and looking me deeply into my eyes.

I took a deep breath, ready to tell Jasmine the whole story. The story that's been eating me up this past year.
