Tuesday morning came quick and as usual, you headed to school with Bokuto. You had your first-period class with Akaashi today and for once, you were not looking forward to it. You were having mixed feelings about his question the day before. Luckily, you also had this class with Suzumeda and Bokuto.

You sat in one of the seats in the back row. Akaashi entered the classroom and saw you. You could've sworn he was walking in your direction until Suzumeda took one of the seats next to you. Akaashi changed his trail and sat next to Bokuto, who sat two rows up.

"Hey Su", you greeted her.

"Y/n. You hung up on me pretty quickly last night."

"Yeah, I was tired."

"Oh please."

The teacher walked in and began class. Not even five minutes in, Suzumeda started bugging you about Akaashi.

"How was it?"

"Huh?", you ask confused.

"You know.....it", she whispered in your ear.

"Oh my god. Really? You wanna talk about this now?"

"Why not? This class is boring anyway."

"Nosy much?", you laughed.

The two of you gossiped in the back of the class like two schoolgirls. That was until the teacher caught you.

"Miss L/n and Suzumeda, do I have to separate you?"

"No ma'am. It won't happen again", Suzumeda responded.

The teacher turned back around and went back to writing on the board.

"Remember you can't say anything about this to Akaashi. Not even Bokuto. You know he likes to talk. Nobody's supposed to know."

"I'm sworn to secrecy." Suzumeda winks at you.

You shook your head and laughed silently.

You and Suzumeda walked to lunch together but were stopped in your tracks by Akaashi.

Huh? What does he want now?

"Suzumeda, L/n."

Why's he suddenly calling me by my last name?

"Akaashi", you say.

"What's up?", Suzumeda added.

"I need to talk to Y/n. It's about our work."

"Alright. Meet me in the cafeteria when you're done, okay?"

She lightly squeezed your shoulder as she walked away.

He waited until she was far enough not to hear before he spoke.

"So when do you wanna meet up?"

"Meet up for what? I already told you what happened between us was a mistake. We can't do it again?"

He looked at you and smirked. You heard a low chuckle.

"What's funny?"

"I think you misunderstood me. I don't know if you remember, but we still have that project to work on."

Ohhh... he meant that.

"Oh, that. Right."

"What did you think I meant?"

You shook your head in embarrassment before responding. "Saturday good for you? Or maybe Sunday?"

"I don't have practice on Friday. You busy after school?"
