6. Adoption pt. 1

Jungkook pov

All the children had left by the time I reached the daycare. From the glass door, I could see Namjoon hyung sitting on his rocking chair while Jungsun was sleeping peacefully in his lap.

"Hello" I beamed, waving at Namjoon with a smile as I opened the door.

"Hey, how are you?" He smiled while speaking in a low voice, not to disturb the sleeping child.
Slowly, Namjoon stood up while carrying Jungsun on his hip.

"Thankyou for taking care of him. I hope he didn't bother you much" I said, taking my toddler in my arms.

"Trust me, Jungsun has got Jin into thinking about adopting a baby for us" Namjoon laughed.

"I'd be glad to see you guys become parents one day."

"Yah Jungkook-ah, come sit for sometime. It's been a while since we had a conversation" Jin entered the room from the backdoor.

"Let's plan it for some other day. Also, Taehyung is coming to my place tonight, so I'll have to take your leave."

"That's perfectly fine. See you tomorrow. Bye!"

"Bye, take care."

Jungkook's home

No sooner did the clock strike 7:15, than the doorbell rang. I knew it was Taehyung.

"Jungsun-ah~" I could hear his voice as he sang from the door.

"Hush hyung! He's sleeping!" I mumbled as I unlocked the door for him.

"It's..." He checked the time on his wrist watch and said, "7:15 already. Let's go wake him up for dinner, shall we?"

"Yeah, come on in."

We entered the room to see the baby rubbing his eyes with his tiny fists.

"Dada..." He mumbled a few more incoherent words as he rolled over his stomach and tried to open his eyes.

"Love, Dada's here" I sat at the edge of the bed, leaning towards my baby to ruffle his hair and place a sweet kiss on his forehead. I could sense Taehyung standing behind me, smiling ear to ear at the adorable moment.

Taehyung's eyes fell on the teddy lying on the floor. So he kneeled down to pick it up.

I was helping Jungsun sit on my lap when I heard Taehyung say, "If I am not wrong, it's the same soft toy, right?"

I shifted my glance towards Taehyung who was looking at me already. We locked eyes, our sentiments kicking in as I nodded and said, "You're right, it's Minnie."

The Suicide Case in Seoul Hospital update:

The Management has decided to provide free treatment to the infant who lost his mother to suicide.
"The suicide case has deeply saddened us. Although we can't bring her back to life, Seoul Hospital has decided to provide free treatment to the orphaned infant until he is shifted to an orphanage in good health."
