A boy woke up in a box. Or, now that he felt around maybe it was a chest. Why would a chest be more tall than long though? He raised his hand to his chin in thought, he was in a tall, metal box. He knocked on it and yeah, it sounded like metal. Before he could even form a thought on that though to the side of him there was a knock back. He flinched and hit his shoulder on the side and damn that hurt. He timidly knocked back again, feeling quite frankly, unsafe. Then there was a clang next to him, it practically roared in his ears and he flinched again. Then there was a voice. "Hello? Is anyone in there" he opened his mouth to say 'yeah I'm here!' But all it managed to do is croak out a faint "h-here" then the door was being opened and he practically fell into the light. He hated small spaces, absolutely loathed them, and yet he couldn't quite remember why. The person who opened the locker looked down at him.
"Hello! What's your name?" And he, well he didn't know. What was his name? He knew that's something people had. His family. Did he even have family? Why couldn't he remember anything? Why couldn't he remember his own name. The guy who asked him was still staring at him expectingly so he crossed his arms over his chest. "Wouldn't you like to know Mr... Robo-man?" The guy jerked backwards. "Did you just?! That is rude and quite frankly I don't appreciate that behavior." He forced a chuckle, fake it til you make it. He's pretty sure.. someone... said that. "Well mister Robo-guy I'll call you Fred!" The guy looked shocked, literally, hair sticking out everywhere. "That- that's not my name!" He smiled, "then what is?" The guy froze. "Well since you Mr. Robo-dude, don't know you name either, I'm just gonna assume this isn't a coincidence and say that our memories have been stolen and we've been kidnapped!" "What?!" "Yeah... YKnow since I'm a big bad mafia boss it makes since for me I guess, so why're you here?" The guy waved his arms around. "You're being crazy! We- we're definitely not kidnapped! I haven't done anything to warrant this!" He smiled, maybe he should give himself a name? Eh he'd probably figure it out, back to the task at hand though. "Yeah- we're not kidnapped." He made sure to smile creepily. "Only you are" the poor poor guy shuddered, probably in fear, and he kinda felt bad for lying to this gullible robo-bro. Speaking of which he spoke up again. "W-what?" He laughed dramatically. "I'm just lying! I'm a liar down to my core YKnow? I can at least remember that much!" The guy bit his lip in thought. "I don't like this." he replied, "that's what I'm counting on."
Pardon him for having something for dramatics apparently but damn did the other guy look shocked. He was proud of his work. It wasn't much but it sure was lyin work. Certainly not honest. He pretended to dust off his clothing and sighed over dramatically. He leaned backwards so that he could see the Robo-lad. "Y'know I've had a lot of fun but the people in the 17th floor are baking me this amazing cake and I really don't want to miss it soooo, see ya!" He walked to the door with no protest from Robo-boy. Well at least one thing was going his way. He opened the door and left, closing it silently behind him. He walked around the silent hallways humming a tune he didn't quite know what was. Ahead of him he saw a weird redheaded girl. She had a witches hat on and he was very confused. Where the hell was he that had a robot and a witch girl? What the hell did he look like? The girl seemed to notice him because she fidgeted, looking around like she knew what she was doing. He strides over to her, purpose in every step. "Hi there! What's your name?" She looked confused. "Nyeh? Kokichi what kind of lie is this?" He shrugged. "A good one since even I don't know. Is that my name? Kokichi?" She looked even more confused. "O-of course it is. You wouldn't happen to know where everyone is would you? I knocked on Tenko's dorm but she didn't answer..." he smirked. "I don't even know who that is! Also there's others? I know Robo-pal is here but I figured he was like, my toaster or something." The girl shook her head. "Even without memories you bully Kiibo? Nyeh that's such a pain. My name is Himiko by the way. Uh Tenko is one of my girlfriends.. Angie is the other but you're practically Tenko's brother soooo..." he let the information sink in. He had a sister? More importantly, Himiko was openly dating two people, both of which are female? Where the hell were they that homophobic bastards wasn't trying to kill her? Not that he was complaining but still. Then again this could all be a lie to get him to open up or some shit. He grimaced. "Listen Witch Bitch I don't really care okay? How the hell do I get out of here?" Himiko looked pained. "Nyeh.. you're back to square one. That's such a pain. And uh, theres no exit, we're all trapped." Then suddenly there was more voices. "NEW FRIENDS!" A large, green haired giant yelled as he launched himself down the hallway. He was followed by a blonde wearing way to revealing clothing. He felt like he should probably hate her but he didn't, instead he had a fond feeling inside. He hated it. Behind him was another guy with green hair, his one much smaller, a smile on his face. In front of the green avocado looking guy were two girls, they were holding hands. One had dark hair and was dressed in blue while the other had white hair and was in a yellow jacket. When they saw the witch girl their faces practically lit up and they broke into a sprint. Before he could even think about it the three of them were hugging and just generally making sure each other were safe. The blonde girl in pink walked up to him. "Hey Kichi' how the hell did you guys manage this? Also where the fuck is Kii-Babe?" He looked at her and grimaced again. "Who the fuck are you?" She looked taken aback for a minute but then she chuckled. "You almost got me there buddy, how'd you get Gonta in on it too?" Kokichi stared. "Who. The. Fuck. Are. You. I don't have time for this." She looked hurt and if he cared he would've felt bad. She looked him up and down and he hated every second of it. "Kichi'?" She took a step closer to him and he stepped backwards. "Oh god... Kichi'. Does that mean Gonta really doesn't remember either?" He watched as her face shifted from shocked to mortified and apart of him wanted to comfort her. He refused as the thought of this being a trick was still fresh on his mind. He felt as if he had only survived this long by using that way of thinking and he was not going to stop just because he couldn't remember anything. He could only watch as a few tears fell down her cheeks. The big guy walked over. "Friend Miu is crying, can Gonta comfort?" Kokichi winced, something about this guy felt weird. The big oaf, Gonta, he felt safe but at the same time he didn't. Something about the big guy set him on edge. He heard Miu chuckle, though it sounded more like a sob, and then watched as she hugged him. He didn't understand what he was feeling. He didn't know these people, didn't remember them. So why? Why did he feel the need to protect them? Why did it hurt trying to think about them? What had happened? Suddenly a boy can running down the staircase being dragged by a bear thing. A robot bear? He wasn't sure. Whatever it was it ran up to him. "DADA-PLEASE-TELL-ME-YOU-REMEMBER." Everyone turn around and looked at him and he hated it. "No, I don't, what the fuck even are you?" The bear looked nervous. "I'M- IM-PANTA,-YOU-NAMED-ME-THAT. I'M-YOU-AND-SHUICHI'S-SON." He froze. Panta? Shuichi? They both sounded so familiar. He could imagine laughter, smiles, a big hug. But he didn't understand. He didn't know them, he didn't have any memories of them. He didn't know these people, he was alone. And then, seemingly reading his thoughts the bear talked again.
"YOU'RE-NOT-ALONE-DADA! YOU-NEVER-WILL-BE!"
And suddenly Kokichi's brain it remembered everything. And it hurt, too many voices all in his head at once, words he thought he'd never be able to forget flowing back into his head. So he ran, anywhere even a bit quieter. Maybe he could outrun the voices.
