SOMEWHERE, IN THE DARKNESS of a cave in Hogsmeade. Sirius Black smiled at the letter he received from his daughter — snickers echoed through the space 'he's a bit dim-witted if you think of the questionable decisions he's made these past few years' he couldn't help but laugh, it reminded him of his best friend, of James Potter.
Though the way she ended the letter, the initials 'R.A.B.' it made him skip a breath. . .
Rosie,
Thank you for letting me know about Harry, I have sent him a letter about meeting me in the Gryffindor common room at one o'clock in the morning on the 22nd of November. I'd like for you to be there too, for now, I wish for you to look after Harry as much as you can. And don't worry about me, I'll live,
— Sirius
Despite Roxanne's scoffing as she read the letter, she couldn't help but roll her eyes at the familiar request: look after Harry, yet again? Couldn't the git look after himself? With a whole group of people already watching over him, she found it absurd that she was being tasked with yet another round of babysitting Harry Saint Potter. Determined not to share this latest development with her friends, she resolved to keep it to herself.
The fact that her father dared to ask her this again was beyond belief. She was willing to bet that he never once asked Harry to do such a thing for her.
Roxanne was intent on doing something that would finally make her father notice her —
—Really notice her.
( but that was the start of many more problems )
DRACO'S DISCOVERY OF HIS sister's involvement with Cedric ignited a storm of anger within him. "Roxanne Andromeda Black! How could you possibly snog a Hufflepuff? A blood-traitor! Do you want Father to have a fit when we get home?" he raged, his frustration palpable in every word.
"Draco, stop being such a dramatic arse for once in your life," Roxanne countered, unfazed by his outburst and meeting his intensity with a calm and amused demeanour.
"— And faking a relationship with my best friend!" Draco accused, his voice dripping with accusation as he pointed an accusatory finger at Roxanne.
"Draco, it's her life. She can do whatever she wants for fuck's sake," Celeste interjected, coming to Roxanne's defence. However, she couldn't shake a sense of unease at Draco's reaction. She imagined the explosive response he would have if a Slytherin were to snog George Weasley. . . Roxanne caught Celeste's glance and exchanged a knowing look, silently acknowledging their shared concern.
