BEING BORN INTO  one of the largest, oldest and wealthiest pure-blooded family didn't seem like a fairytale to several members of the Black family. Power, nobility and keeping the bloodline pure was most important to them. Most respected their families beliefs — while others associated with the wrong sort or decided that the family name was bullshit and got themselves disowned. Centuries went on and on by disowning family members that didn't honour their name, there were fewer and less true Blacks that carried their name with pride. And during the first wizarding war, the last true heir died, and now the only child to carry the last name was the daughter of his disowned brother. But she carried the name with pride and honour. Unlike her father did.

ROXANNE BLACK became what her grandmother always taught her to be. She lived with her since her father had abandoned her. She was taught how honourable it was to be a Black, how she should carry her name with pride and keep herself away from those who would make her think anything else. Though it was all a bit unintelligible for the three year old girl — she did grow up believing that being a pureblood meant that you were superior. After her grandmother died (winter 1983) Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy aspired to be her legal guardians until she would be of age.

THE MALFOY's were like most of the pure-
blooded families in the sacred 28. Teaching their only son how to honour his families name. To Draco, it was easy, he was quite arrogant and a bit narcissistic. The thought that he was better than others was astonishing. Arrogance and narcissism was something Roxanne and Draco had in common. The two (second) cousins saw themselves as equals, yet as each other's competition. They both wanted to make Narcissa and Lucius proud, prouder than they were at the other. They wanted to be better than the other. It had always been like that. It didn't make Roxanne and Draco love each other any less though.
