In response, I looked at him.
" well the thing I wanted to tell you was....."
"continue.." I mumbled. Looking him in the eyes.
"I think I love you." he finished.
And then, everything went blurry

Hickory's POV::
As soon as I said it I regretted it. The effects of the vow of not loving humans was kicking in.
My Lord, well, he disables any human that a Demon loves. Mentally and physically. Teaching us not to love. This has happened before to my last human about 7000 years ago. And now I know how to reverse it.
A local witch taught me a spell a while back, when I begged for her help.
"AZAWRATH PENTOS DELINKO" I yelled.
Just before the poison kicked in that would have blinded her.
In the whole process of this, Lou was screaming her head off because it hurt. It hurt like hell.
Lou's POV:
I have never been in so much pain. It felt like my eyes were getting darker and more blury, my hands were numb and my chest was on fire - My heart working too hard.
Hickory screamed out some strange words and it all stopped. My vision started to clear, my hands were able to feel again, and my breathing was slowing back to a normal rate. I did have a slight headache though.
"what. Was that?" I slurred out. Still under the effects a bit.
"Literally satan." Hickory breathed out.
I looked around to see everybody looking at us ."Hickory...." I started.
"Dementos Letens" he said with full Accent looking at all of the people in the little diner. To my surprise they all turned back around in their chairs and acted like they didn't just see a girl screaming her head off in a little booth.
"Hickory, You're no soposed to love me.. is-is that why all of this has happened?" I asked feeling like my voice was small all of a sudden.
He looked right at me. Gold specks sparkling like little diamonds.
He hesitated before answering. " Yes. And it's because I love you that I protected you." he said looking away.
" we need to go." he said striding up to the front and paying.
I stood up, still shaken by the attack of "literal Satan", and walked over to the door where Hickory was waiting.
He held the door open for me, and as soon as we were outside we made a dash for the woods. Running faster than any human eye could catch.

Hickory's POV::
I'm still thinking about how im going to tell the witches that I had to use their spell to save the love of my life. They taught it to me, not thinking I would ever use it... since ya know.. Demons cant love, but here I am running around in the woods with Lou.
"Lou" I called out. Trying to find her was difficult when I shared my aura with her. That basically means that she's everything I am except she's still human.
I look up and spin around, and to my surprise I spot her at the top of a tree six feet from where I stand. she thinks she has a great hiding spot but I can see her little feet! I quickly climb the tree and pull her down. (We literally fall) but of course I fall on the ground first as her cusion.
"What was that for?!" she wheezed out, still breathless from the fall.
"We have to make a quick stop and THEN we can play in the woods." I said, Her still on top of me from the tree.
" okay but how was I able to do all of this stuff..? A-am I a demon like you?" she asked. the moon peeking through the trees made her eyes shine with curiosity.
" not yet.." I mumbled out. "But I wouldn't want you to be a demon I don't think. I'm just sharing my aura with you." I said looking at my shoes.
" well of course you wouldn't want me to be a demon." she said, pulling my chin up so I was looking at her. At that moment I got lost in her bright green eyes which, now have golden specks in them as well, and I just couldn't look away. Like she had me in a trace or something.
"Your eyes..." I started.
"What's wrong with my eyes?!" she gaped. And like an Idiot, she tried to look at her own eyes.
I laughed before I said "They have golden specks in them like mine do."
"Wait seriously?" she half yelled. fumbling to pull out a tiny mirror.
" OMG YOURE RIGHT" she yelled again.
"yup" I said grinning.
And then, she just looked at me. She had that- that sort of look. And then, while I wasn't focused, she leaned in and gave me a peck on the lips, sprinting away straight after with me hot on her trail. Off to see the Witches.

I am so sorry I haven't been able to update this story!! (not like anybody reads it anymore)
but I have most of the next chapters "pre- written" so I can work on that. I'm currently writing chapter 11 and it's almost finished.
school has kept me very VERY busy but I hope to continue this story.
