Chapter one: Demons don't cry.
Hickory's POV::
"She's finally asleep." I thought out loud.
Even if I am just something only she can see it's worth it. I'm not anything special.
I'm blonde. I have bright, deep blue eyes with golden flakes scattered everywhere. I'm tall compared to lou. I'm 5'9 and she's only 5'4. I have pale skin, not quite as dark a Lou's light tan but not white as snow either. I like to read, but not a lot. A simple old memory from Lou's mind can last me a books worth. Her mind is actually very fascinating. Full of color and deep thoughts. But that's just scraping the outside. In the deeper parts of her mind it's scary to search... But I am forced to when she's upset and won't talk to me.
I talk to her a lot. Even if she doesn't listen. Sometimes she answers, and it makes me smile.
But the strange part is demons arnt Soposed to have feelings. I've marked lou, I wasn't sure if out council would let me, but I filled out the form and showed off my powers to satin himself. And he approved. The number one rule above all is: (NEVER FALL IN LOVE)
And the thing is lou knows I can't.. But what she doesn't know, is that I already have.

Lou's POV::
I woke up with a strong pair of arms wrapped around me, and with an Evil smile I shrugged them off and stood up. Striding to the closet only to pick out my navy blue sweater and black leggings.
I looked back to the bed to see Hickory with a full head of bead head. (He must have slept good)
He looked at me with his unreal eyes.
"Good morning darling" he mumbled stepping out of my bed.
"Good morning hickory" I said with a bit of annoyance in my voice.
He knows I don't want him here but at the same time I do. But it's not my choice. It's his "lord's" choice.
------- 20 minutes later--------
"Have a good day lou" hickory said hugging me.
"Fuck off, I don't like you." I said pushing him away.
And with that, I was out the door, on my way to school.
