Chapter 11: Demons Don't Cry.

Refresher:

I sat in our little fort we built.. And tried to think before Lou awoke, and my mind kept wandering back to what Esmeralda said.

"I think I've made a decision" I claimed to Lou's sleeping self.

"We have a date with satan."
I said with a chuckle.

Lou's POV::

"Well jesus, what happened...?" I asked looking at Hickory.

"Hmm? What's wrong?" He asked.

"I feel like I'm drunk as shit." I said with a sharp tongue.

Hickory laughed really hard. Like an actual laugh.... That's a first.

"Whaaat?" I sort of slurred.

"That's my fault for sharing the aura for so long,," he said, still laughing like a maniac.

I sat up quickly, forgetting we were in a fort made of sticks, and scrapped my face on a pointy one.

Reacting like a cat, I sent my hand flying to my face. "We'll that's grand." I mumbled.

I took my time in standing up, and then waddling out of the fort. Everything was really blurry and dizzy. After a few moments of feeling sick to my stomach, I leaned behind a tree and vomited out my dinner from last night.

"Ouch. Lou, are you sure you're okay?" Hickory asked, hovering over me.

"No." I spit out before more vomit came rushing up.

"Okay." He said. He stared at me really hard, and the sickness started to go away. I felt super speedy again. And possibly a few muscles sprouting on my arms and legs.

"Why again? Won't it make it worse?" I asked, voice full of panic.

"Because, we need to go home. Then I can heal you safely. And you'll be your normal self again." He said looking towards the way we came.

"Just trust me okay?" He finished, looking into my green eyes.

"Okay. I trust you" I said, looking at the leaves on the ground.

*4 hours later*

Hickory's POV::

It's been 2 hours of her vomiting because I'm having trouble healing Lou.

For some reason my magick can't get a grip on her. She's dehydrated and still throwing up. I'm about to put three IV's in her just so she'll be able to relax...and possibly sleep.

Then again, magick does have it's faults...I think to myself.

"Lou..." I said quietly. My eyes grazing over her now pale skin.

All she did was run her eyes between me and the IV I have in my hand. She silently nodded her head, and I quickly put it in her arm, turning half a step and grabbing the hidden syringe full of healing medicine, with a touch of magick. I click it into the green add on and shoot the liquid into her IV, watching it swirl until it meets with her blood.

I look at Lou, her eyes back to their normal green, the golden specks fading. Her skin going from Snow White back to its natural Light tan.

"Lou?" I asked looking at her. My cheeks gaining some pink at the edges.
