Chapter three: Demons Don't Cry
Hickory's POV::
I finally got to the house when I felt something was wrong. I rushed around the house to find Lou on the ground, her one leg covered in blood and he hair everywhere.
I walked over and pushed the dirty blonde hair out of her face, and to my surprise she was still conscious. Tears streaked her dirty cheeks.
"He, he , he grabbed me and threw me hard onto the house and, and, and," she stuttered. Her voice full of fear.
"Who was it Lou.?" I questioned. Not expecting an answer.
She looked deep into my eyes before answering.
"It. It. Was Rain." She said. When that finally left her lips I scooped her up and brought her inside.
Rain is her ex. But he turned out to be a demon and we both didn't even know. They always come after Lou. Always.
Lou's POV::
I was running as fast as I could, even though I knew hickory was walking. After about ten minutes of playing in the dirt waiting for hickory I heard something move in the woods.
"Who's there." I spoke loud enough for the thing to hear.
Silence.
"Not going to answer me? I hear you" I yelled.
"shut the fuck up Lou." I heard rain speak.
Now you see rain is my ex. But he's a demon. And the catch is, Hickory and I had no clue he was a demon untill he attacked me. But back to the present...
"Why are you here." I asked calmly even though I was very afraid. I couldn't show my fear... That's my weakness.
"For this" he says before he forces me against the house with a single punch to the leg.
"Bye now." He says and in a flash he's gone.
My whole body ached, and my leg was numb with blood.
___ten minutes later__
I hear someone but it hurts too much to move.
"Lou?!?!" I hear hickory approach.
He moves the hair out of my face and I explain what happened. In response he picks me up and carries me inside to the bathroom.
Once inside, he pulls out the first aid kit and starts to work on my leg,
Making sure the bandage Isn't too tight I try to stand but get whisked of my feet into Hickory's arms.
"Really." I mumble rolling my eyes at him.
All he does is nod before setting me on the couch with a blanket and the remote.
"I'm gonna make you tea" he states before kissing my forehead and walking into the kitchen.

I scrolled through the channels until I found Cartoon Network. I turn up the volume a little louder than normal just to annoy hickory.
A few minutes of "the amazing world of gumball" Hickory walks in with tea and a turkey snadwhich.
"Thanks" I say before stuffing my face. I really was hungry. Even though I'm fat, fat people still get hungry.
Hickory sits at my feet. Eventually I feel his stare as I watch tv and before I can look at him I hear a loud crash from upstairs,
Almost as if someone broke my window.
