Chapter five: Demons Don't Cry

Lou's POV::

I ran up the stairs and into the bathroom. I wanted to shower the night before so I could do my hair all pretty for Simone.

______AFTER DA SHOWER_____

I threw on Hickory's Hollester hoodie and a pair of boxers. (Wasn't feeling like wearing my clothes) I tied my hair up into the messiest of buns and strutted down the stairs, earning a weird look from Hickory.

"ITS FRIDAY NIGHTTTTT" I screamed. Seeing hickory jump a bit I giggled to myself.

I waltzed over and sat on Hickory's lap.

"What's got you in such a good mood Lou Bear?" Hickory beamed.

He nicknamed me Lou Bear when I was 11, but who cares!! I love it. It's cute.

"I get to see Simone tomorrow! And you get to see Thomas!" I said, eggar to get to bed.

"Yes, I haven't seen the cheeky fellow in a long time.. It would be good to catch up" hickory smiled, showing off his straight white teeth.

MIDNIGHT:

I must have fallen asleep. I must have. I have no idea. I woke up slightly to be in someone's arms. I could barely see the hallway. But the person took me into Hickory's room. Not mine. They put me on the bed and covered me up. I was almost back asleep when I heard them shuffle and trip over something.

The person crawled into bed with me, grabbing my hips softly and dragging me closer. They had their arms wrapped around me, and then I knew who it was. how could I not have known??

Hickory bit my shoulder slightly. It didn't hurt, but it was signal it was him. And not some horny hobo.

I relaxed into his touch and before I knew it I was asleep.

MORNING:

I woke up to an empty bed. Great.

Hickory's POV:::

Lou fell asleep on the couch last night. I didn't want her sleeping alone. So I took her to my room and gave her the signal. She instantly relaxed into my touch.. And to be honest,, it's made me slightly happy.

In the morning I vanished and reappeared in the kitchen. Not wanting to wake lou, I started breakfast for her. I knew she had outfits and things planned so I didn't want to get in her way.

13 MINUTES LATER

Lou came down the stairs. She had on a white jumper with black tights and her vans. Curly hair and a white beanie. I thought I felt drool on my face, I couldn't stop staring

"Ok what the hell. Is it bad?!" She asked.

"Erm..... No!! It's not bad at all.. Your gorgeous." I stuttered

Lou blushed, looking down trying to hide it.

"I saw that" I mumbled.

She just smiled at me. Her small dimples trying to pop out.

Lou's POV::

I walked over and sat on the counter, pulling out my phone I had a message from Simone and a message from rain. Weird.

Simone- Thomas is excited to see Hickory!!

I smiled slightly and replied:

Lou- yass he's making brek. Now! We'll see yhu soon

Afterwards I checked what rain said.

"You humble bastard" I said aloud. Quickly covering my mouth, not meaning for that to slip out.

"What did I even do?" Hickory whined, not even turning around.

"Not you sunshine" I mumbled trying to think of a good reply.

I hastily typed:

"Go to heaven. Hopefully the sunlight from god will burn you."

I chucked to myself at such a job we'll done.

1:30 WITH SIMONE

We were right outside her house. Untill she finally waltz out, small bag in hand and Thomas following behind.

She let Thomas get in first, then filed Into our navy blue pickup.

We drove off to my favorite Restrraunt. Applebee's

At our table finally, we got to a real Conversation.

"HI TRAIN" I practically yelled.

Thomas did a facepalm before rolling his grey eyes at me. "Hi" he mumbled. Running his hand through his thick black hair.

"We'll lou what do you want to eat?" Hickory asked. Placing a hand on my leg. I let it slide. His hands were warm too, but I swear if he try's anything... I'm not afraid to use my fork.

"I've missed you!" Simone beamed

"Yes! I can't believe we don't have the same school anymore it makes me so sad!" I said, putting on a pouty face.

"We'll.... Yeh... But guess what?! Thomas and I are moving out together soon!" She said, voice full of happiness.

"Really?!" I giggled out. Exchanging glances with everyone.

I realized no one has said anything to hickory. I looked at him for a long time until he looked back. He looked longingly into my eyes, like he was missing something.

And after that sweet moment. It was ruined. By a gun shot, and a flash of rain and his crew.
