Training

~ Your POV ~

It's been three months since I met the turtles. April and I finished our project, I was bullied by Tessa, but I hung out with the turtles almost every night.

I was sitting on a mat, in the den. Leo and Mikey were playing video games. Donnie was reading a book. Raph was training. Just then, Splinter asked me to come with him. He led me to where April and Raph were training separately.

" Cel!" April said happily. She was sweating.

" You okay?" I asked.

Just then, Splinter talked to both of us.

" I think you both, would progress, if you trained together." He said.

" But Splinter. Celeste hasn't had any training!" April said. I frowned at that comment. I, as a matter of fact, became a black belt in karate before I got into high school.

" Oh? Then you should be grateful, for an easy opponent is better than none." Splinter said. I thought I saw him wink.

" Here." April threw away her fans. " Let's train without weapons." She said.

" O-Okay." I said. I saw Raph look in our direction.

April ran at me. I ducked. On impulse, I grabbed her punch arm, and flipped her over me. She landed on the ground.

" Dude? You okay?" I asked. She kicked my legs from under me. I caught myself, and flipped over, popping back up.

" How'd you do that?" April asked. But then she went in for a kick. I countered it by putting my arms out, knocking her off balance.

I did a backflip, and then one armed my landing, swinging around and kicking April in the chest.

She went flying. She got up quickly, and came at me, and kicked me in the side.

We both kicked off our shoes. April went to run at me, in the stomach. I grabbed her shoulders, and vaulted myself over her, but she was ready. She kicked my legs, grabbed my arms, and threw me into the ground. I got up quickly.

April looked angry. Her eyes turned all white. She grabbed her fans, and threw them at me. One cut my cheek.

Then, she picked me up with her mind. Yes, her mind, and flipped me over, and then smashed me into the ground.

My back collided with the flow, and then my head. I got up, and back flipped. Then, I jumped at her, and hit her in the head. Her eyes returned to normal.

" Whoa! Wha-" April looked around. We were both breathing heavily, and blood was pouring from my cheek.

We heard applause. I helped April up. The four turtles, and Splinter, were clapping.

" Very impressive, Celeste." Splinter said.

A few moments later, the turtles were called to action, and April went with them.
