Meeting New People

We have finally arrived after what seemed like a million years. We pull up to this gorgeous house. It looks like something you see in movies! Sure our house in Florida was glamorous but this was just amazing. "Do you like it?" My mom asks while we unload all the boxes. I smile slightly "it's nice." I nod. "Right well go have a look inside and pick out what room you prefer and then you can unpack from there!" My mom says as my dad pays the movers. I nod and walk inside the house. Everything was basically furnished except the rooms and living room. I wasn't going to lie.. It was pretty awesome. I walked up the fancy spiral staircase to the second floor. I wandered about the hallway until I spotted what I assumed was a room. I stepped inside and smiled. It was perfect. It had an amazing view and a beautiful balcony. The walk in closet was a plus! After a few hours of sorting my stuff and making the room more "me" I went downstairs and joined my parents for dinner. " this place is amazing dad". He smiles "I know. Im so excited to start this new journey." I nod not completely over having to move yet. "Don't worry.. You'll make new friends and relationships! I promise!" My mom smiles putting her hand on mine. I smile and nod "yeah I hope so!" We socialize for a while and I decide to go upstairs to get to bed. I've had a long day and need rest. I change into some sleep shorts and an oversized t-shirt and lay in bed. I sigh and close my eyes "this place isn't that bad..." I think to myself before falling asleep.
The next morning I wake up to the beaming sunlight in my room. I groan as it hits my face. I sigh and sit up looking around "what time is it?"
I mutter to myself I grab my phone and my eyes widen as it reads "1:09p.m.". "Shit!" I say to myself. I get out of bed and brush my teeth before walking downstairs. "Hello?" I yell. Is no one home? I walk into the kitchen and see a note on the counter that reads:
Morning sunshine! Your dad and I have gone off to explore the city before we both begin working again tomorrow! We were going to wake you but you looked so peaceful and we knew how tired you were. I've left some money for you if you wanted to go out and grab lunch or something! The keys are there also if you wanted to go for a drive! We should be back later tonight around dinner time! Text us when you have woken up! Love you! - Mom and Dad!
I laugh to myself. They sure do know I love my sleep. Well what the hell to do today! I have no friends here and don't know where anything is! I sigh and walk upstairs and text Caitlin: Home alone already and don't know what to do with myself!
I walk to my closet and find a pair of skinny jeans and a sweater. I put it on and Throw my hair into a top knot and apply little makeup on. "Good enough" I say to myself grabbing my cross body bag and phone. I walk down the stairs and take the money from the counter and walk outside. It feels pretty good. I decide on walking instead of taking the car. I plug my earphones in and start walking. I didn't know where I was going, just gonna see what comes up. I look down on my phone as I'm humming the words to a song. I laugh at something on my twitter feed until I come into contact with someone. "Oh my god I'm so sorry!" I say ripping my earphones out my ear. Stood in front of me was a tall blonde guy, who looked about my age. . He laughs "it's no problem. I wasn't paying attention either!" He smiles. I laugh awkwardly as I don't know what to say next. "I haven't seen you around here before.?" He says. I nod moving a piece of hair out of my face "yeah I just moved here, next door actually, from New York. My mom and dad got a crazy promotion so here I am!" I laugh. He nods "ah so you're American!" I smile and nod. "Well I'm Tristan.. And you are...?" He puts out his hand "Sydney!" I smile "well Sydney it's very nice to meet you! Where are you headed?" I look around "you know I actually have no idea... I thought I would just walk around until I found something interesting!" I laugh. He nods " Well if you are wanting something to do, you can come inside and meet my band?. I just went out to get some Chinese food!" He motions to the bags in his hands. I nod quickly in desperate need of some social interaction! "I would love to!" I smile. "We'll come on then!" He says leading me inside his house. I follow and shut the door behind me making my way into what I predicted was his living room. "Boys" Tristan starts "...this is Sydney. She just moved in next door. She's from the states!" He smiles and motions for me to sit down. I smile an awkward smile as I sit down on a chair staring at the three boys infront of me. They were all quite attractive to be honest. Except one stood out. There was a boy not much taller than me with curly brown hair and gorgeous brown eyes. I was quick to stop myself from staring at him and looked away. "Hello" they all said. Tristan points to the boy with the brown curly hair "that's brad, James, and then Connor!" He says pointing to the last boy on the couch. Brad. I thought to myself. He was so gorgeous it hurt. I nod "it's nice to meet you guys" I say smiling. Connor smiles "nice to meet you too!" I feel eyes on me and I turn to find brads on me. We make eye contact and he snaps his head away. His cheeks instantly turning a shade of red. As do mine when he looks away. " So Sydney, we were planning on taking a trip to the cinema today to see a movie. Would you wanna join us?" James asks me. And the other boys nod in agreement and look at me awaiting a reply. I nod and look down at my phone "I don't see why not. My parents won't be home until dinner anyway." They cheer and I laugh. "Alright let's get going then!"
Tristan says standing up grabbing his keys. We walk out to his car and I'm put in the backseat next right next to Brad. Great... I'm praying I don't make myself look like an idiot infront of him.
