"That friend of yours, he looks extremely grieved. Do you think he has a fever?" Cosette asked Marius, her arms around his shoulders.
"No, I think he's simply worried," Marius replied, "Though now I'm worried about him,"
"The nurses told me that Grantaire wasn't recovering, they also told me they do not know the cause of the sudden pains, only that he probably won't live for long,"
Marius looked worried and turned to face Cosette. "My love, I fear what will happen to Enjolras. He isn't himself anymore. The Enjolras I remember was angry and righteous, he was never afraid, never grieved. He even held through 'Ponine and Gavroche's death,"
Cosette rubbed Marius' back, and whispered, "He will be fine, as you are. You were able to push through the death of your best friend, weren't you?"
"Yes, I'm sure you are right,"
But Cosette wasn't so sure.
