June was pulled from her sleep a bit earlier than the usual because of a fur ball who thought that it will be fun if she –yes, Raccoon is a she – jumped flat on her face to snuggle. Groaning, June sat up. Raccoon sliding down from her face to her blanket covered lap. It was chilly last night.
June turned to look at her clock placed on the headboard. She groaned when she saw that Raccoon woke her up thirty minutes before her alarm. She scowled at the cat that is busy licking her fur clean. “You know, I can’t go back to sleep once I am awake. And you wake me up thirty minutes before my alarm.”
Raccoon looked up at her and meowed.
June released a heavy exhale of breath in return. She gathered Raccoon in her arms before sluggishly walking out of her room and to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. She placed Raccoon on top of the dining table. “Stay there and behave, okay? I’ll make us breakfast since I have the time.” She said before turning to open the refrigerator. She took out two eggs and a pack of bacon. Grabbing the pan on her way to the stove she muttered. “Now that I think about it, it’s been a while since I cook breakfast.”
She turned on the stove and started cooking. When she’s done she grabbed a plate from the cupboard just above the stove and neatly placed her breakfast on it. “Tada~!” She crooned turning to face Raccoon, who fortunately behave on the spot where June put her. With a satisfied smile, June placed her breakfast on the table. “I’ll get yours, okay.” She said to the feline before crouching down and grabbing the cat’s temporary food bowl under the table. She then made her way to the other side of the kitchen and take out the pack of cat food from the cabinet. She filled up the entire bowl before returning to the table. “Breakfast. Let’s eat!” She beamed taking her seat across Raccoon who is busy inhaling her own breakfast. June clasped her hand together saying a short prayer before digging in.
After breakfast, June, with Raccoon following her like a good cat, made her way back to her room to get her clothes. She made her way to her cabinet, about to open the top most drawer when her eyes flickered to her phone that suddenly lit up.

June raised a brow in confusion. “Unknown number?” She breathed grabbing her phone and unlocking the screen. She pressed ‘Read’ and the messages appeared.

Good morning. I won’t be late later. And thank you again for finding Raccoon and for taking care of her. See you later.

Oh, this is Roy. Sorry.
June stared at her phone for a few seconds before a smile occupied her lips. She looked down at Raccoon. “You’re owner is funny.” She said before placing her phone back and crouching down to pet Raccoon, who meowed in delight.
It was around 6:00 a.m. when June finished dressing up. She is ready to go to work but how is she going to transport Raccoon there. Of course, she can carry Raccoon to the café but what happens after? She can’t let Raccoon roam free around the café and she doesn’t want to lock her in the supplies – it’s cruel and, of course, the raw materials are stored there. No one wants to have cat hair in their coffee, right?
