Luke and I walked from the dorm to the back of the field into the opening of woods that laid at the back of the campus. By the time we arrived, there was already a load of people drinking, chatting and sitting around the bonfire on log chairs. I spotted Kath, Harriett and Kaitlin sitting down by the fire just a few feet away from us, I pulled Luke's hand and guided him towards where the only three people I really got on with sat.

"Hey," I say as I take a seat down on the nearest available log followed by Luke. "This is Luke," I introduce.

"Nice to see you again," Kath says with her warm smile. I had almost forgot that Kath was the only one that had actually seen Luke the last time he was here.

"Hero should be here shortly. He's with Amy," Harriett informs us all. My heart stops at the thought of what Hero and Amy must be doing, but I push the thought and feelings down and fake a smile.

The night went on and Hero still hadn't shown up. As for Amy, she showed up with out him ages ago. I could tell Luke felt a little uncomfortable because of Bradley and Jason asking him inappropriate questions, but I couldn't help but laugh at their drunken state.

As I thought Hero wasn't going to make an appearance at all, he finally shows up and slumps down on the log next to Harriett giving her a one armed hug, completely ignoring, myself and Luke.

"Where have you been? Thought you was coming with Amy?" Harriett asks him raising an eyebrow.

"Uncle Stevens," Was Hero's one word answer.

"Oh so your talking again?" Harriet questions.

"Not exactly. He weren't there," Hero replied shrugging.

"Hero, have you met Luke?" Kath pipes up from the corner finally taking some air after making out with Kaitlin.

"No, so this is the boyfriend Luke?" Hero smirks putting air quotes when he says 'boyfriend'.

"Nice to meet you," Luke says sticking his hand out for Hero to shake. Hero just stairs down at Luke's hand waiting for him to take it, but instead he laughs.

"Oh, Rose, he is just too cute," Hero states laughing, earning an elbow to the rips from Harriett. Luke shyly retracts his hand and looks down at the ground.

"Hey! Why don't we play a game?" Amy pipes up as she comes and sits on Hero's lap wrapping her arms around his neck.

"What game you got in mind babe?" Hero asks as he pecks her on the cheek. My blood started to boil, so I pulled Luke closer and rest my head on his shoulder. Hero gave me daggers as he watched the action.

"How about spin the bottle?" Amy suggests smirking.

Luke looked at me as if he didn't want to play, but I gave him a small smile and he eventually agreed. After all it's only a game, so anything that happens stays within the game.

Amy grabbed an empty bottle that laid on the floor beside the log chair where she sat and placed it in the middle of the group. Bradley opted to go first and spun the bottle which landed on Kath, they both shared a quick kiss before Kath span the bottle herself. It landed on Jason, they shared a kiss. Jason spun the bottle and it landed on me. Jason leant forward and I looked towards Hero who glared at me as if to say 'don't you dare'. I gave Luke a quick glance and he looked just as uncomfortable as I felt. But it was only a game, I leant forward and gave Jason the quickest kiss I'd ever given anyone.

Now it's my turn. I span the bottle, and hopped it would skip Hero completely but my luck was just non-existent. Hero moved and came to sit in between Luke and I, shimmering his way in, to Luke's dismay. All eyes were on us. Including Luke's. Hero leant in as I did the same, our lips touched and the world dissolved. It felt like seconds, before I knew it Luke pulled Hero back by his hood causing us to disconnect.

"What the hell Rose?" Luke shouted.

"It's a game, you weren't like this with Jason," I stated.

"You aren't meant to be getting off, a quick kiss would've sufficed," Luke stated. I could hear the hurt in his voice.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realise - "

"Realise? Realise what Rose?" Luke interrupted. "That I sat beside you, your boyfriend? You know what? College has changed you."

"Can we please not do this here?" I plead.

"Do what? Argue? In front of all your new mates? Where's the Rose I knew?" I had never had an argument like this with him and frankly he was scaring me.

"Please, let's just go back to my room," I say getting up and trying to pull him by the hand.

"Stay here. I need time to cool off. Key please?" Luke says holding his hand out for my key. I hand it to him and he storms off leaving me with everyone starring at me. I slump back in the log trying so hard to hold back the tears I knew would soon make an appearance.

Hero tries to snake his arm around my shoulder but I shrug it off and move to sit next to Harriett on the opposite side of the fire. I could feel Hero's eyes still locked on me, but I chose to ignore them and not look his way once. Harriett placed her arm around me and pulled me into a tight hug, which I gratefully accepted, thankful to have a friend that comforts me.
