Another sleepless night, Jay let out a soft sigh as he was sitting in his room and was staring at the wall and hadnt slept in days which he knew wasnt good for him but he couldnt sleep at night since he always heard voices in his sleep that kept him up at night and mainly got a couple of hours of sleep during the day but was always woken up by someone coming into his room to wake him up for the day, he had hated this alot and had tried his best to not listen to the voices but they always screamed at him when he tried to ignore them. He felt his phone buzz and knew it was a text from one of his friends that had stayed up late at night since he would always talk to them before he started to distance himself from everyone, he lays back on his bed and closed his eyes as he started to fall asleep but was woken up by a voice and felt tears go down the side of his face "Just let me sleep..please.." He covered his face with his hands and started to cry as he curled up in a ball
Mason was awake since he was on the phone with a friend of his and listened it get quiet for a minute and heard crying next to his room since he was in the room next to jays and got concerned about him as he stood up and left his room, walking over to Jay's as he knocks on the door but didnt get a response which made him worry until he had knocked again and had heard Jay tell him to go away which hurt him slightly but knew he wanted to be left alone as he went back to his room, sitting on his bed and noticed that his friend had left the call. He yawned a bit but was too worried to sleep as he laid down and looked at the ceiling wondering what was wrong with jay and had to find out soon.
the next day comes as Jay was finally asleep in his room and had been asleep for a few hours now but was woken up by Swagger as he looks at him, nodding and had sat up since he knew it was gonna be a long day of traveling since everyone had been planning a big trip for the misfits as he yawns a bit and had barely gotten any sleep but saw swagger had noticed his tear stained cheeks along with the bags under his eyes as he heard him ask if everything was alright and had told him that everything was fine. He watched swagger leave and sighs to himself, standing up as he began to pack for the trip
Swagger walks downstairs as he still had the worried look on his face and looked at Mason and Fitz who were in the kitchen, walking over to them "Is Jay okay?" he said with concern in his voice about his friend as he noticed mason look at him like he had known about this
Mason put his drink down that he had in his hand and shook his head "No, hes been up late at night and barely sleeps. Last night i heard him crying and talking to someone but when i went in there, nobody was there."
Fitz rasied an eyebrow as he looked over at Mason "You sure he wasnt on the phone with someone?" he said, sounding a bit confused about what he heard mason say
Mason shook his head again as he sighs "his phone was on the kitchen counter last night..he forgot to take it to bed with him. Its still there too.." he said, hearing a door open upstairs and then close as his eyes lock onto Jay who was walking downstairs with his luggage as his heart broke when he saw how jay had looked. He walked to Jay and helped him with his stuff since he was slightly struggling but it had broke his heart when he had saw how his friend had looked.
Mason felt tears form in his eyes as he quickly wiped them away as soon as they had formed in his eyes but made sure jay didnt notice so he wouldnt worry about him since he knew it would hurt him if he noticed the hurt in his friends eyes. He helped jay take his bags out to the RV that was parked outside as he smiled when they were done putting the stuff away.
After a few hours they had arrived at where they were going and had been there for about an hour now as Mason had went out with the others to get some food since everyone was hungry, he got concerned when he had come back and had noticed that jay wasnt anywhere as he had last saw him sitting on his hotel bed until he heard someone singing in the bathroom, he peeked his head when he didnt hear any running water as he saw Jay laying in the bathtub singing with tears streaming down his cheeks. He listened to what jay was singing,
"Can you hear the silence in my head gettin' louder?
I've been hearing voices in my sleep, I'm not tired
Push me to the edge 'cause I'm a fool for the fire
I'm scared to get close, and I hate being alone
I long for that feeling to not feel at all
The higher I'll get, the lower I'll sink
I can't drown my demons, they know how to swim.."
His eyes widen when he saw that jay had noticed him and saw the scared look on his face as he watched jay break down in front of him as he rushed over to him.
((its been a min since i last updated, i know i know..ive been gaming alot and lost motivation to write for some time but im slowly getting back into writing! i will update soon with part 2 of this oneshot chapter, til next chapter
