(I know I'm late on Masons birthday but I'm writing it)
Mason yawned as he sat up in his bed and checks the date on his phone since it was sitting next to him on the charger as he takes it off, he took a glance at what the date said and smiles gently. Today was his birthday. His 22nd birthday. He got up out of bed as he got dressed in something comfortable for the day and left his room, going downstairs where he heard some of the misfits tell him happy birthday and had told them thank you. He noticed Jay wasnt downstairs which wasnt normal since he was always first to be awake and downstairs "Wheres Jay?" he rasied an eyebrow in confusion yet concern as he picked up a glass and filled it with water
"Hes still asleep, he was awake half the night streaming a tournament on fortnite." Tobi said as she was sitting at the counter on one of the stools and saw that Mason had looked concerned about Jay, seeing the look fade from his face and turn into a happy one.
Mason nodded at what Tobi had said and sat down next to her, taking a drink from his water "Must've been streaming with Lachlan again." he said, feeling jealously rise in him as he held onto his glass and finished the rest of his water in one gulp which surprised Tobi and Fitz who had just walked in "Hes always streaming with him."
"Well, that's the only person he plays fortnite with besides Mau and Tweaks. Occasionally, he'll play with others too" Fitz said, sighing as he noticed the jealous tone in Masons voice and shook his head "I wouldnt worry about it.."
Mason felt the jealousy subside as he got up and put his cup away in the sink and let out a quiet sigh "I'm gonna go sit outside, if he asks. Tell him" he said, going out the backdoor and sits down in a chair that was beside the pool that they had
[A few hours go by]
Jay was awake as he was sitting at his desk in his room and was on the discord call with Lachlan and a few of his friends as they were playing squads on fortnite and laughs gently at something that was said as he shook his head. He went silent when they asked if he had liked anyone and glanced over at a picture of him and Mason at the beach that sat on his desk all the time since he had loved that memory of them together "Yeah..I do actually but I'm too scared to tell them.."
Lachlan raised an eyebrow as he chuckled "Its okay Jay, we've all been there before. It wouldnt hurt to try..I mean. I've tried and I ended up heartbroken, I didnt leave my house for a week. Everyone worried.."
Mau sighs as he leans back in his chair "Lachy..that isnt making the situation better." he said, laughing when lachlan swore quietly
Jay looked over at Mason who had walked in and muted his mic, thankful that they were back in lobby as he rasied an eyebrow and wondered what he had wanted "What's up maso?"
Mason looked at Jay as he walked over to him "I havent heard from you all day and I got worried. I thought you were still asleep so i left you alone.."
"I just woke up like 30 minutes ago..I just didnt feel like leaving my room. Besides I got a call for a game..its Lachlan, Mau, Lannan and Loserfruit." Jay said, spinning around in his chair so he could face Mason as he saw the look on his face and leaned back in his chair as he pulls something out from under his desk as he holds it out to Mason since it was his birthday present from him.
Mason gently takes the gift from Jay as he peeks inside of the bag and was curious on what it could be, gasping softly as it was a pair of headphones that he really wanted but never could get since they would always sell out before he could order them. He looked up at Jay with tears in his eyes as he hugged him tightly and sniffles softly "Thank you.." he quietly said as he heard Jay say that he was welcome and looked at him, feeling his cheeks heat up as he was a bit hesitant but kissed him gently which shocked Jay since he was caught off guard by it
Jay's eyes widen slightly when he was kissed by Mason and wrapped his arms around him but pushed him away before it got too heated up since he had heard his friends calling for him as he looked at Mason "Later." he said, smiling as he unmuted his mic and rubbed the back of his neck as he laughed at something that was said
Mason smiles as he left the room, holding onto his gift and felt butterflies in his stomach. this was a good birthday, he got what he wanted. Headphones and Jay.
