"Don't wanna be an American Idiot~" I sang while I was in the shower. Singing in the shower is the best, in a weird way it's like an escape. I turned off the water and got out of the shower, drying off my body and putting on my clothes. I did my hair and put on some eyeliner.

I walked into my bedroom and put on my shoes and grabbed my backpack and phone. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen where my dad was reading the newspaper and drinking coffee. I grabbed a cup and poured some coffee in it, flavouring it to my liking.

"Morning papa," I said, sitting across from him.

"Morning hija," he said, standing and kissing my forehead. He put down his paper and placed his coffee cup in the sink.

"You gotta work late tonight?" I asked, sipping on my coffee. He nodded and I sighed inaudibly.

"I made Enchiladas and rice from your dinner tonight," he said, grabbing his coat and keys. I finished my coffee and placed my cup in the sink.

"Thank you," I said and grabbed my own keys. He smiled and waved goodbye to me as we walked outside and got in our separate cars.

I got out of my car and dreaded the day to come since Jeremy won't be back until next week. I recently made friends other than all the guys and Lacey, who really showed out to Emma...

-flashback-

"Hey, Nate!" I heard Lacey call, I smiled and waved. We talked for a bit until we were interrupted by a high pitched voice squeaking. We turned to see Emma and the two girls from three weeks ago when Emma made me drop my books.

I rolled my eyes and looked back at Lacey, "I'll talk to you later Lace."

"No, I'm going to class with you, not her." I was shocked.

Lacey turned to Emma and told her straight to her face that she, Emma, was the fakest friend she's ever had and cursed at her like a sailor. Me and Neil, who joined me at some point, laughed and high fived Lacey.

-end of flashback-

"Natty!" I heard someone call. I looked up and saw Lacey, Carson and Natalia. I smiled and waved, walking towards them.

"Hey guys," I said, hugging them. We walked down the hallway and talked about our weekend while going to class. We walked in and went to the back and sat beside Andrew, Natalia's boyfriend, and Mrs. Turner started her lesson.

I finally made it to lunch. Me, Neil and Lacey got in line to get our lunch. Once we paid we made our way to the same table with Austin, Josh, and Alex. I sat between Neil and Alex. Lacey sat beside Josh, who were flirting with each other and poor Austin had to endure it. We talked about random stuff and Neil keep stealing food off my tray.

"Neil stoooop!" I exclaimed, slapping his hand away from my french fries. He pouted and I grumbled, giving him the last of my fries. I stood up to go throw away my trash and walked towards the garbage can. I dumped my tray and placed it on top of the other stacked trays.

As I turned around I was met by coke and ketchup thrown on my Ozzy Osbourne shirt. I looked up and saw Emma smirking while the two girls behind her laughed at me. I looked down at my shirt, pushing my hair out of the way. I felt my face getting flushed and I ran out of the lunch room, hearing Emma and her friends laughing and Austin and Neil calling my name.

I walked into the bathroom and tried to clean my shirt and I started crying when it wasn't getting clean. I heard Lacey's voice and she walked in the bathroom and over to me.

"Nate, why are you crying?" she hugged me. I sniffed and wiped at my eyes so my makeup didn't ruin her shirt.

"I try to be strong and pretend that what she does doesn't bother me but it does and Jeremy not being here to help me sucks and this was the last shirt my mom bought me before she died," I ranted out.

Lacey gave me a sympathetic look and she walked me to her locker, giving me a new tank top she kept in her locker. I thanked her and changed into the tank, putting my shirt into my locker and she fixed my makeup for me. The bell rang and we said goodbye going our separate ways.

I walked into my house and walked directly to the kitchen and heated up my dinner my father made me and I called Jeremy. He picked up on the second ring.

"Natty," he exclaimed happily.

"Hey Jeremy," I said, happy to hear his voice but still a little upset from school. I guess he must of noticed.

"What happened? You sound upset, did Emma do something?" he asked.

I sighed, "She ruined my favorite Ozzy Osbourne shirt that my mom gave me before she died."

I heard Jeremy grumble and curse and he said he had to go. We said goodbye and I hung up. I grabbed my food and sat at our island in the big kitchen and ate silently.

Damn Neil, eating all my food at lunch....

Once I finished eating I washed the dishes and did my homework. I completed my homework about a hour and a half later and decided to go to bed, knowing the week is going to be played out just like today until Jeremy got back....
