"Ahhh yesss! Winter Break," I screamed, running out the front door. Jeremy laughed at me and wrapped an arm around my waist. I smiled and placed a kiss on his lips.

"Ewww!" Neil screeched behind us. I rolled my eyes and flipped him off. He gasped and put his hand on his chest dramatically. I smirked and we walked down the school parking lot, towards our cars.

"Babe, what do you want for your birthday?" I asked. Jeremy's birthday was in two days and I wanted to do something special for him.

"You," he said, kissing my head. I rolled my eyes again.

"You already have me. What else do you want?" I whined. He shrugged and I groaned.

"Well, I want you to meet my dad soon," I said, looking up at him. His eyes widened and he looked down at me.

"When?"

"Today," I said, smirking. This is the only day he'll be off and Brian should be home by now.

"O-okay," he said, "but what if he hates me?"

I sighed, "It won't change anything and he can't make me break up with you."

Jeremy smiled and placed his lips on mine. The kiss was sweet and gentle but it ended too quick. I sighed and let go of his hand.

"I'll see you at 7:00?" I said, quizzically. Jeremy nodded and we went our separate ways.

"Honey I'm home," I sang as I walked through my door.

Brian walked in the living room and smiled at me, pulling me into a hug. I smiled and hugged him back. I love my brother.

"So I heard you have a boyfriend," Brian said, raising his eyebrows suggestively. I rolled my eyes and nodded.

"Yes, and you'll meet him today. Dad will also be meeting him today."

Brian smiled and cooed about how I'm growing up so fast and some crap like that. blah blah blah.

I walked to my room and turned on Blink-182, playing All the Small Things and my brother ran in and sang to it.

This is why I love him.

I was sitting in the living rom with Brian and dad watching TV when the doorbell rang. I squealed and ran to the door, opening it.

Jeremy smiled at me and I hugged him. We let go when I heard a throat clear. I let Jeremy in and closed the door.

Dad and Brian stood up.

"Dad, this is my boyfriend, Jeremy. Jeremy this is my dad," I said.

They shook hands and exchanged hellos. I looked at Brian and smiled.

"Jeremy, this is my older brother, Brian," I said and they said hello and Brian actually hugged him. We all sat down and chatted a bit, my dad interrogating him a bit.

"So Jeremy," my dad started, "what do you do?"

"I'm actually in a band called A Day to Remember. I'm the singer," he said. My dad nodded and smiled.

After about an hour or two, Jeremy had to leave. We all said goodbye and I gave Jeremy a kiss before he left.

"Nathaniel," I heard my dad say.

I looked up, "yes dad?"

"I don't think Jeremy is right for you."

"What?"

"He's in a band," he said bluntly. I felt my jaw drop.

Is he being serious?

"You've got to be kidding right?" I heard Brian say in shock.

"You should date someone that has a practical dream and future. He'll never make it big."

I felt my whole body tense up.

"No. I will not break up with him and you won't put him down like he's a dog!" I snapped, shooting daggers at my dad.

"Watch your tone Nathaniel," he said.

"NO! SCREW YOU," I yelled and walked up to my room, slamming the door and locking it.

I can't believe this...
