Alfie remained in the bedroom for few more minutes and brushed their little cheeks before he went to take the shirt, that was luckily dry already. He came to living room and looked round. "What should I do, when they're sleepin'?"
"I don't know..be quiet." Sophie looked at him behind her shoulder for a moment and turn back to her work. "I have several books there if you want to read."
"Hm," he frowned a bit, then sat on couch. "Do ya play sometimes?" He asked, looking at keyboard, while Fanny settled beside him on couch.
"No." She answered honestly. "I haven't touch it in almost two years.. don't have much time."
He hummed again and stood up with a groan. He walked to his jacket and took earphones. He connected it into keyboard to not wake up kids and switched it on, then started to play.
Sophie was mostly occupied with the cooking for sometime. When the soup was ready she cleaned the kitchen and lean on the doorframe looking at Alfie playing with his headphones on. She chuckled softly shaking her head and went straight to check on the kids. Both sleeping peacefully. Slowly she made her way back on the kitchen and pour another mug of coffee and came to sit down next to him on the couch. "What are you playing?" She asked.
"What?" He turned to see her, taking off earphones.
"I asked what are you playing." She repeats taking a sip from her coffee before she put the mug back on the coffee table.
He took one earphone and put it on her ear, then started to play. "I need to practice for that concert, ya know. Chopin," he spoke, playing. "Sounds better with orchestra, yeh."
"It's still good.." she said quietly watching him playing. Her eyes soft as he gently press the keys creating the beautiful melody. "What else are you going to play?"
"Only Chopin, luv... First and second piano concert. It' both 30 minutes long, so... That's enough," he spoke. Then stopped playing and cleared his throat. "Sorry. Ol' habit. Sophie," he said, turning to see her, then continued playing.
Sophie looked back at him and furrow brows. "You call everyone like that..why are you apologizing?"
"Thought, ya might get offended by that," he shrugged.
"No,i didn't got offended by that."she said shaking her head. Letting out a small sighed she turn to see him again. "You're an idiot." She spat out without much of thinking. "We had something beautiful and you throw it away like it meant nothing. Well at least for me it meant something but I can't talk for both of us." She put down the earpiece and took her mug on her hands.
"Ya never stop to amaze me, how can ya go from quiet woman to hulk in five seconds," Alfred took off his earphones and turned to see her. "Maybe it would be different, if I didn't leave. Maybe not," he grunted, looking at his front. "I don't know. Ya hit me like a lighting with that and I shitted me pants and left. It was too quick. I ain't sayin' that to excuse my behaviour, but... well no but," he hummed.
"How am i supposed to say it? In episodes?" She roll her eyes.
"In the matter of fact, ya are like ya havin' episodes," he snorted.
"Yeah i had few." She agreed without being joking about it at all. At first she had multiple panic attacks over simple thoughts.
"I'm sorry, Sophie. I really am. I'm here now, yeh? We can cooperate as friends, parents mostly, right?" He asked, looking at her.
"Yeah, sure. We can do this." She replied shortly.
"And don't frown, that's my thing, yeh?" He poked her woth elbow gently and put on his earphones to continue playing.
