"what in the actual fuck? guys, that was insane." her eyes widened, she scurried towards the band. her jaw was on the floor. words couldn't even describe how stunned she was by their performance.

"of course it was." bakugo boasted, heavily panted. he snatched a towel from his pants' back pocket to wrap it around his neck.

he sighed and tilted his head back, exposing his neck tattoos better; angel wings on both sides of neck, the initials NG in the middle. y/n assumed it stood for their band name; no ground.

"what he meant to say was thank you." sero corrected him, shaking his head. he leaned his bass on his amp.

"why aren't you guys signed to a label? so many people would enjoy what—"

"— we appreciate that, but no." mina kindly declined what y/n was possibly offering. her stomach dropped, a pout forming on her face.

"the hero industry is tough. really tough. it takes most of your time, barely leaving any time for yourself really— especially if you're high in the hero rank, like katsu here. to get all of us here today was extremely hard, almost impossible even... adding a music career to that would be a death wish." sero clarified, crossing his arms.

she glanced at katsuki. he was staring down at her with those eyes once again, his hands holding both of the towel's ends. she gulped. is he the other...

"number two. i know you were thinking about asking." he coldly said. her eyes widened.

number two... over midoryia. at 20. him?! she wasn't expecting him to be so high. he was just so... mean. he must be strong... really strong.

clear disappointment was shown in y/n's face.

her mind wandered off once again. she now remembered the actual reason why she came here; to train. get a taste of what being a hero would be like. she needed to take a break from all this music shit. that's why she was here.

but this band. they were amazing. she wanted to know everything, she wanted to sing with them, hang with them, connect with them. the way she felt while they performed not even a minute ago was so exhilarating. she wanted this feeling to last longer. a small glimmer of hope in y/n's eyes appeared. they all noticed it.

maybe she could be both, she can't give up unless she tried—

"you'd be considered a laughing stock. you don't think we all know why you're here? you can't expect to be taken seriously as a hero when you're out here writing those stupid corny love songs during the weekends to perform to a bunch of losers." bakugo scoffed. he just needed to add that, didn't he?
