Lily Marie Hartwell (14) set fire to her home in the city of Port Richey, Florida. The mother and her brother (9) were able to escape because of the smoke alarm in house. The daughter was not in the house as the fire started but nobody know it . After some fireman's starting searching for the daughter the mother became some text messages from her daughter like: " Mom I'm so sorry I don't know why I did it" and "Did any of you get hurt " . The daughter was found nearby the crime scene. She was taken into custody and charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of arson.
The girl admitted to starting the fire by soaking a towel and bedsheet with bleach and rum, then setting them alight in the garage. She then went to a nearby park bathroom and went to sleep , after packing a bag with clothes, bottled water, cookies, knives, lighters and flashlights. She planned the whole thing out. In a journal marked "Keep out" one written entry stated: " if this keeps up there will be no safety in this house " Lily writted about her interest in Slenderman. The stories about the Slenderman influenced the Slenderman Stabbing and she mentioned the case in her journal. Lily admitted that she used the websites Creepypasta.com and SoulEater.com.
Her obsession with the Slenderman and Soul eater was the reason for that all.
