Proxy (plural: proxies) is the term given to those who serve the Slenderman. The theory behind the name is that proxies are entities or people that has lost they mind to the Slenderman, and now follows him blindly, through fear or devotion. Better say a proxy is influenced or controlled by Slenderman like a (mindless) puppet. A proxy act based on Slenderman wants and needs. Proxies serve as an in-between for the Slenderman.
It is suspected that proxies do the actual, physical work for Slenderman, such as creating and manipulating objects, destroying and leaving evidence, creating videos and responding on Twitter (in ARGs), and influencing victims as needed. ___________________________________________
How is the life as a proxy?
The life of a proxy is terrible. There are lots of reason why. The first reason is that you kill and stalk people for the Slenderman. I don't know why some people want to do something like that. These people are sick in the head for me. The Slenderman would kill/torture you if you make mistakes/don't follow his order and can easily replace you with another person. The second reason is that you are on your own. You must give up your family, friends, EVERYTHING. YOU ARE ALONE. Some of the proxies sleep in the cold and have sometimes no food and/or sleep for days. I have heard that some proxies live together in small apartments to help each other. Cultist should help proxies too with food and a roof over there heads. You don't become special treatment from the Slenderman only if you are can prove that you are worthy. The special treatment is that Slenderman can give his worthy proxies powers and immortality.
The most important reason is that you must ACCEPT YOUR FATE OR YOU DIE.

What types of proxies exist?
Most people didn't know that proxy types are not ranked from the Slenderman. That rank system is only a invented concept that was created from blogs. The Slenderman didn't use the concept. The names for the types was created from the blogs too.
Hallowed A hallowed is a mindless puppet created by Slenderman for the harassment of runners, no other purpose. When he didn't have any use for a hallowed he kill or drive the person in suicide. He does it on other proxy types too but mostly for hallowed. The reason is that they haven't any abilities and they have no use in a fight. The body is affected by the sickness and they only left a little of there strength left. The sickness could kill a hallowed easily.
Berserkers A berserker is the most closely resembling the traditional perception of a proxy, a slave (a puppet) to the Slenderman, but with enough of their own will left to have superior problem solving and tactics. These are far more dangerous than the hallowed, because they can work their way into positions of trust to further his agenda. They often think they're Agents, but they're not really....
They are also have Slendersickness but they aren't bad affected as others.
Sleepers A sleeper is a proxy that is unaware of his status of a proxy but the person have his original personalities intact. The person is a proxy but can't remember any of his missions or they thinking it was all a dream. A sleeper is in Slendermans control when the mind of the sleeper is at the weakest during black outs and while sleeping. The Slenderman uses them to attack others this is why sleepers are considerably more dangerous than berserkers. Berserkers act like there in control but sleepers do not know. Almost all sleepers have amnesia.
Agents A agent is not proxy in the traditional sense; Agents appear to be the blogosphere's interpretation of cultists. The agents, who act for him despite not being under his control. Whatever their motivations, if they act on his behalf, then they are agents.... One of their biggest assets is that they're totally sane and retain all of their mental faculties which means they can target runners in ways far more creative than anything that the Slenderman himself can think up.
Revenants A revenant is a proxy with super-strength and regenerative abilities granted to them by Slenderman. They show there worth to the Slenderman. Eventually became unpopular with bloggers and were retconned away as hallucinations. A revenant is the strongest proxy type.
Cultists The cultists can be counted as proxy. I wouldn't count to the proxy type. In my eyes are they more helpers. They help the Slenderman/ proxies, workship him and have there eyes open for new proxies. They are skilled with weapons, manipulation and more. Cultist looking for people where are worthy to join them. What I know about them they are really manipulating. DON'T TRUST THEM.
How the Slenderman think about them is unknown to me.
The last two proxy types have not been confirmed yet.
Corruptalem A corruptelam is a living mind without a body. They are created when entities don't take all parts of a victim. If the corruptelam was a victim of the Slenderman in life, or they were "marked" by him, the corruptelam may also be targeted by the Slenderman. The most common form of a corruptelam is made of static-like scratches or "lines" in space, which may or may not share features of the living person or people from their memories. A secondary type was discovered that appears to be a physical copy of the living person, but in fact consists solely of the mind.
Corrupteli apparently have several unique abilities, including shapeshifting, time travel, and interacting with technology.
Watchers/Observers A watcher/observer is a person that observing the woods, runners, victims and prey. The only purpose is to stalking a person and give information to the Slenderman or other proxies. ___________________________________________

Runner is the name given to any human being who is "running" from the Slenderman , or in some cases, Optic Nerve. Runners can be of any age, any background, and any culture, as the Slenderman is totally indiscriminate in whom it kills .
Many runners will band together and/or help eachother in order to increase their chances of survival.
The only thing that differentiates a runner from a typical victim of Slenderman is the fact that they have, at the very least, succesfully avoided Slenderman at least once.
A Victim is described as a person who the Slenderman and/or proxies stalking, often for extremely long periods. It is not unusual for a person to be trailed by the Slenderman and/or proxies for hours, days, months, or even years. However, he usually appears when least expected and where the victim is alone and the most comfortable (home, school, work, outdoors, along trusted roads, etc), and often times he also strikes when the target's defenses are down, sometimes to the point where they simply have no will to fight him off any further, making for an easier kill.
As a Prey is described a person that become one because of many reasons. One reason is that prey has entcounter someone that Slenderman was already chasing. Better say the prey wasn't the main target. By a stupid coincidence, the person would become a victim himself. The difference between a victim and a prey is that the Slenderman kill them right now (no stalking before) or the Slenderman can use the prey as a mindless puppet (hallowed) for his own purposes. ___________________________________________
