PERSONAL THEORY:
Slenderman have such a big effect of our minds. He can control us, talk with us in our mind, give new memories and/or delete our old memories, can see us things that the normal human eye never can see, read our mind, hurt our psyche and give psyche disease's.
But how can he do it:
It give lot's of theories why he can do such things.
My theory is that he have only control when we believe in him and have a weak mind. It is like a disease in our head. The disease was created because of the believe in him. He can control the disease and this disease don't have a remedies. We can't fight this disease. A weak mind make the disease stronger. He has only that much power about us just how strong this disease is. The disease will try spread out. He will try that the disease spread out. By sightings, bad dreams, daydreaming of him or related things, talking and scaring us and other things try he that our mind weaken by our fear. He have then enough power that he can control us.
