First one shot for this book hehe
In honor for my lovely childe main ZhonglisChilde <3

It takes place at the time of the latern ride festival! (I don't know much of it tho due the fact that I didn't played at that time but yeah xD)

Childe and Zhongli are currently in one of the streets of Liyue.
There are a lots of people around here due the fact that everyone wanna see the firework tonight.
Childe's a little nervous because he had a lil plan for that night...

Childe PoV;
Tonight's the night.. everything needs to go as I planned it.
I planned on proposing to Zhongli tonight. We're already are dating a year or so. This man made me hella fell for him. The way he looks at me, his beautiful face and features, his adorable laugh, his lovely smile he gives me each morning. This man is perfect. With every inch of his body...
I'm really glad that we met and I'm so glad that he has the same feelings for me that I have for him.
I still remember as it was yesterday...
I still were in my thoughts that I didn't noticed that Zhongli called out for me.

"Ajax, are you okay? You weren't paying attention at all." He seemed worried.

"Ah.. I'm okay don't worry Xiansheng! It's all fine" I kissed his cheeks and took his hand.
"You may follow me, Xiansheng" I winked at him and started to run off to the boats.

"A-ajax, wait, not so fast please-"

I didn't even cared to reply to that and just kept running. Once we were at the boats I payed rent for an hour with an boat or so. I got into the boat and so helped him to get on it as well and with that I took the paddles and startet to get way more out on the sea/ocean.
Zhongli sighed.

"You didn't have to-"

"But I wanted it Xiansheng, it's all fine and okay" I gave him a soft smile.
I may come off as someone who's cold hearted but I really have a soft side for him.
He looked into the sky and seemed the admire the stars tonight. I put the paddles aside and admired every feature of his face, probably looking really stupid.
I still have to wait for the firework to propose to him...

-flashback two weeks ago-

The couple were all cuddled up in Zhonglis bedroom. After an exhausting day they really needed that.
Childe was pretty sure he wanted to live for the rest of his life with Zhongli. Take him as his husband starting to have a lil family with him, just him and Zhongli.
And with that he asked him something.
"Hey Xiansheng, what do you think about marriage?"

That question seemed to caught Zhongli off.
He looked a lil surprised.

"Marriage you say.. isn't it something mortals do when they're in love to close the bond between them? I'm quietly not sure what I should think about that but I think it's something good, isn't it?"

Zhongli still thought about it.
Childe should've knew that he gets such an reply, Zhongli's not mortal after all.

"It is my love, it is, trust me" childe sighed and just pulled Zhongli tighter.

-flashback end-

"Childe?-"

I shook my head and looked at Zhongli.

"Something's bothering you Ajax, I can tell. What's wrong?"

"Xiansheng, it's all-"

"It's not Ajax, what's bothering you?"
Zhongli looked at me with an worried and yet kinda mad expression.
I sighed again.

"Listen, Xiansheng, do you remember when we talked about marriage two weeks ago?"
He nodded.

"Yeah, what's with that? Is it that what it's bothering you?"

I nodded.
"Listen, you, Xiansheng, makes me the happiest I am, like literally, you drive me crazy. You're so perfect Xiansheng, so perfect for me.."

I took a deep breath..

"I literally can't think about an life without you anymore, I want you by my side until the day I die. And with that i wanted to ask you-"

Zhongli seemed pretty suprised I can tell with the way he looks at me.
I took the small ring box out of my pocket and showed him the ring and looked at him with an warm smile.

"Will you make me the happiest and be my husband till death rips us apart?"

What if he's saying no-
He looks so suprised..

"Ajax... I-"

"I-it's okay Xiansheng! If you say no it's fine I mean-"

"Yes, I'm saying yes"
He smiled at me and I smiled at him sighing, I put the ring on his finger and pulled him closer to me and kissing him softly he kissed back and melted into the kiss.
This moment is perfect, he's perfect.
I broke the kiss and looked at him.

"I love you Xiansheng, I love you so much"

I wanted to kiss him again until;

"Childe wait, the waves-"

Zhongli couldn't even finish his sentence until a big ass wave came over and we both fell into the water.
We looked at each other and he started laughing.
I love his laugh so much.
The firework started and we looked up into the sky.
The moment couldn't be any better.

"I love you Ajax-"

I silenced him with a small kiss.
"I know that and so do I love you"

I looked into his eyes and then into the sky again..

Till death rips us apart Xiansheng...
