Thank you to everyone who has read, commented, and voted on this story. This was my very first Lams story I have written. I can't believe it's finally completed! FINALLY! This was quite the journey and I loved every moment of it. As you can probably tell, the characters in this story had their actual, historical appearances like Alex, John, Laf, Hercules, George and Jefferson, ecetera while the others had their musical appearances like the Schuyler Sister's and Lee and Maria so it was a little bit of both. But I absolutely love Alexander and John's historical appearances more than my own life.
I do plan on making a sequel to "Helpless" once I figure out how to start it. I also kept some things out of the famous '79 letter that was used in the epilogue like the Aide-de-camp stuff and Congress things because I don't thik it was relevant to the story and this is modern setting not 1770's. But I didn't want to change much of it. Also, there is an actual historical reason why John has a scar on his cheek. I think it was from when he was prisoner of war when he was in South Carolina, but for this case, I tried to modernize it as best I can. I hope you all enjoyed my first Lams book I have ever written in my entire life and stay tuned for the sequel! Also, the paintball scene was inspired by Divergent. I just thought I'd put that out there. Also, comment below who was your favorite character, scene and/or line if you can remember. I'm just genuiely curious.
