"Ok, I'm getting hot," Lori complained while pinching water from her nose, she placed her hands on the wall.
"Ok, come on!"
"Stand on the edge..." Lori directed Janet, yet another impromptu photo shoot.
"Cute!" Janet mumbled as she looked down at the phone's screen. "I'd fuck you." She shrugged and handed Lori her phone.
"Same," Lori replied thumbing through the photos.
"Why you leave last night!?"
"I went with Aubrey."
"A lil hogtie action."
Lori poked her bottom lip out as she looked down at her phone. "I wish, he doesn't have any rope with him." She twisted her lips.
"Mmm, hate when that happens." She mumbled with a straight face. Lori chuckled.
"Did you talk to Mark?" She suddenly looked up.
"No." Janet frowned and rolled her eyes. "I'm not about to get involved with that man!"
"Who said get involved, I said get fucked!"
"Are you Janet or am I!?..." Janet asked with a frown, she scrunched her face.
"You pushed me to talk to Aubrey!" Lori stated in her defense.
"No, I didn't!"
"You left me!... in a restaurant!" Lori frowned and scowled at Janet, her eyebrows creased in confusion as she justified her argument.
Janet huffed she rolled her eyes dramatically. "And now look at you! On vacation! Free of charge! A thank you would be nice!"
Lori pointed her index finger in Janet's direction. "You blocking your blessings!"
"What blessing!?"
"You gotta see if the stereotype is true!"
"What stereotype!?" Janet quickly cut her neck at Lori. "He crazy!?"
"No, I think he's Jamaican." Lori chuckled and squinted her eyes from the sun.
Janet's mouth opened in shock. "THAT'S WHY JADA FOLLOWING BEHIND THAT MAN LIKE THAT!" She yelled tossing her hands in the air. She paused for a moment. "Well, now I'm willing to find out...You think he got a baby leg!?" Janet asked cutting her eyes at Lori.
"Baby leg..." Lori mocked her quietly and shook her head.
"It's probably thick!" She paused. "Let me go flirt!" Janet closed her eyes and giggled playfully as she turned around and headed towards the house.
"FaceTime me!" Lori yelled out.
"MIND YOUR BUSINESS!" She yelled back closing the patio door behind her.
Lori laughed while she crawled onto the two-person chaise lounge chair, the wide umbrella blew in the wind as it shaded her from the sun, she casually scrolled through her phone, and for the most part, she stayed clear of any social media, she never really showed interest until she had something to post or was bored enough to fumble through it, her recommendation page was filled with makeup, skincare, hair, and fashion, vacation spots, possible property purchases, and high-end art, articles of Aubrey's business adventures randomly spread throughout her likes, she chewed at the inside of her cheek and enlarged the post, reading through the silent accolades that he rarely spoke about, he rarely spoke business in general to Lori or even publicly, his investments and new projects were often held tight-lipped until the moment called for it. He was prominent enough to mingle amongst A-Listers at award ceremonies, benefits, and brunches, his name was tied in with athletes and musicians yet all his work was behind the scenes, he was thee partner to partner with. Articles referred to him as a Bachelor, he was unattached and available for whatever and whoever he pleased, she admired the array of photos from public events, it was no wonder a man like him got bored, in particular with women, they came by the dozen. He had women that would drop everything they were doing if and when he called, he was every woman's type, whether they wanted to admit or not, married women, single mothers, runway models, and strippers, they were all at his picking. Lori arched her right eyebrow and pressed her lips together as she continued reading, she frowned as the thin, long shadow walking along the patio caught her attention, she looked up as Nikki leaned against the closest pillar.
