"Come on, Ella. You can do it. Try to control the wind." Sophia said.
Sophia and Ella sat crossed leg in the middle of the meadow. The day was bright and warm. Great at September in California.
Ella closed her eyes concentrating on the winds current, but nothing happen.
"I can't." Ella sighed.
"How about rain? Try to make it rain." Sophia asked. Sitting in front of her. The grass in thd meadow was dead. It was the color of hay all brown, no hint of wild flowers around. The wind blew slightly, but Ella failed to control it.
Ella pursed her eyebrows in concentration trying to make it. Shedding one tear it became to mist.
"Okay good try, but we need to do it without you tearing up." Sophia said.
After that day in the meadow when Ella found out she was adopted. Sophia has been helping her to control the weather without emotions, so to not cause another freak weather episode. Ella still was staying at Sophia's house, calling her parents every now and than that she is doing okay.
"Ugh, I can't do this. Ella yelled grabbing her hair in frustration.
"Careful. Stay calm." Sophia said. Ella took a deep breath.
"What am I going just be a emotionless person forever?" She yelled.
"Just into you can control it better."
"Lets take a break." Ella threw herself back laying on the brown grass.
"Okay. Lets relax." Sophia said as she threw herself back on the grass also.
"If I can control it. Ill still wont know who my parents are." Ella uttered staring at the sky.
"We will. I promise." Sophia said than yawn.
Ella sudden sat up quick. "Hey, lets see something cool."
"Okay, like what?"
"Watch this." Ella said as she walked all the way to farthest way of the clearing. She raised her hands to her sides. Sophia watched wondering what she was planning on doing. Ella started sprinting towards her as she did the ground behind her turned green and billions of wild flowers blossom all at once.
Ranging from different colors and different kinds of flowers.
When Ella finally reached Sophia she smiled and said "Cool?"
"Yes. You show off." Sophia laughed. "Come on its getting dark."
They started walking towards the entrance of the trail.
"Hey, who's that?" Ella asked pointing at a old woman with golden long hair. The same woman Sophia saw on that day. The old woman wore a flowing white dress. White flowers decorated her hair.
"I don't know." Sophia said.
"I hope she didnt see me turning the whole field into flowers."
"I hope not either." They continued their way as the old woman bent over to pick a delicate white rose than brought it to her nose. Staring at them as she did.
On their way home, they stopped by dairy queen for burgers and ice cream.
"So, you hear about the fall festival dance?" Sophia asked mouth full of burger.
