Olivia looked at herself in the mirror. How had her life changed so dramatically over almost two months? She was dressed as a slutty pirate, going to her dead sister's and her own old highschool's dance with a werewolf huntress.
"Impressive," Charlotte commented, she wore her usual attire, leather shorts, leather jacket and a corset style top. "Are you ready to go?"
"This is right thing to do, isn't it?" Olivia asked, doubt beginning to creep inside her.
"Don't tell me you're having second thoughts. Are you?" Charlotte warned, Olivia shook her head.
"They're monsters. They killed people, my sister, my best friend and my own mother." Olivia, reminded herself, and suddenly all her doubt disappeared.
Alex looked in the mirror, he wore a tuxedo, complete with cuff-links. In his hand was a wolf mask,
"What do you think?" Tim asked, he stood in the doorway, in the exact same outfit. He took off his mask. "Well this is a little embarrassing."
"The costumes will have to do." Ivan mumbled, pushing past Alex to get to the mirror.
"But aren't they a little conspicuous?" Tim asked, playing with the strings of his mask.
"That's the point." Alex responded, "We're going to the dance to be noticed by the wolf hunters, hopefully they fall for it and we take them down." Ivan glared at him, he looked at the ground.
Suddenly, Clara started to scream at the top of her lungs for what seemed like the hundreth time tonight, Tim and Alex both jumped in shock.
"My God, that girl can scream." Tim muttered, before stalking off to the kitchen. He grabbed a plastic bowl, filling it with soup from the stove top.
"What are you doing?" Ivan demanded, as he headed towards the cellar, with a foam cup of tea and a plastic spoon.
"Feeding the screaming individual." Tim answered, quickly unbolting the small hatch in the door. "Clara," He called, she ran over to the door.
"Tim, I'm locked in!"
"I know, we're trying to get you out. In the meantime, have something to eat." He put the soup, tea and a slice of bread on the hatch door.
"What are you going to do by sunset?" She asked, sipping the tea. "I'm locked in here, what about you three?"
"We'll be fine, I promise." He replied, sitting on the bottom step. He watched her finish her tea and slurp the soup. She was so oblivious to their plan. She thought they would never plot to lock her in a cellar that could possibly kill her wolf.
Clara would never realize what Ivan's true motive for her was, she saw the good in everyone, even when they treated her like dirt. Tim smiled at her, he hoped to God he could find a way to stop Ivan, he couldn't bear it.
Why would Ivan want wolf cubs? Why not just make werewolves from humans?
Tim's mind had been muling over it for the last two hours. His train of thought was interrupted when he heard a soft thud. He looked up to see Clara asleep on the cold cement. He smiled to himself, dead bolting the hatch again.
"High strength cold medicine strikes again." Tim told Alex proudly,
"Will that be enough?" Alex asked, worried.
"I also emptied out some horse tranquilizers into her tea, so she should be out for a few hours." Tim replied smugly.
"That will give us just enough time to kill the hunters and get out." Ivan grabbed his fur coat, the two boys grabbed theirs. "The sun sets late today, so we won't need to worry about her wolf getting free from the lavender for about two hours. Here's your gemstones." He handed them each two cats-eye gemstones and the three of them nodded at each other, there was work to be done tonight.
