It was as if someone had poured metal into Clara's mouth. She woke up, the bright blue morning sky above her. She smiled. She had survived her first night as a wolf unscathed. Clara had never felt prouder of herself. As she rubbed her eyes, she saw a red substance on her skin.

Immediately, Clara began to panic. She looked at her hands, covered in dried blood. She looked at her entire naked body, all caked in blood. At first, she thought it was her own blood. Then she saw Tina Hughes dead blank face staring up at her. Clara screamed, frantically trying to crawl away from the mangled dead body. In her confusion, she fell onto Henry Backle's dismembered body. Clara screamed louder. Was this all her?

Clara looked around, leaning against a tree, her screams turned into sobs. She had killed. On her first night. Clara's pride was soon diminished.

Alex heard Clara's screams, he looked at Tim, both of them racing off to find her.

"Clara!" Alex called,

"Clara, where are you?!" Tim yelled, the boys pushed their way through the scrub and trees. Alex smelt the blood before he saw it.

"She's killed."

"What?"

"She's killed someone."

"Oh shit." Tim finally saw the picnic area, body parts were scattered everywhere, blood stained the grass like paint, and a small girl, curled up in the feotal position against a tree, crying to herself.

"Clara." Alex murmured. "Clara, it's alright. Everything's going to be okay." He reached toward her,

"Stop. Don't touch her." Ivan growled, his entire body was splattered in blood, same as Clara.

"What did you do to her?" Tim tried not to yell, but his anger was boiling over.

"I did nothing to her. I simply showed her how the real wolves live." He gestured around himself,

"And this is how the wolves live? Slautering innocent teenagers?" Tim's voice was getting louder with every word. "Wolves shy away from society for their own safety. Aren't you meant to be our alpha? Aren't you meant to keep us safe?"

"Trust me. I'm keeping us safer then you know. Clara's wolf knows the enemy now. The humans. She'll need to learn to discipline her wolf, but if she's truly meant  to be my Alpha Female, she'll be fine." Ivan kicked Clara lightly, "Come on, girl. They're only humans. There's much more where they came from."

"I killed people. People who went to my old school. I'm a monster."

"You're not a monster-" Alex protested, before being shushed by Tim.

"You are a monster, Clara. Embrace it." Ivan whispered in her ear before stalking away.

Alex felt cheated, he frowned to himself. Clara sobbed harder, shrinking in on herself.

"Tim, can I have your hoodie?"

Tim pulled his hoodie off and handed it to Alex. Alex dressed Clara in the hoodie, trying not to blush. Clara let him pull it over her head and arms, she allowed him to carry her back to the house, where he lay her on the bed and pulled the sheets over her.

"I can't believe Ivan would do this to her." Alex scowled, sipping a coffee with Tim sitting on the bench. "And then, instead of making her feel better, he tells her she's a monster."

"He's planning something." Tim muttered. "He knows something we don't. I hate that."

"I wonder what his aim is." Alex replied, washing up his cup. Tim shrugged.
