Almost automatically, Ivan could see his wolf attacking the girl. He could taste her flesh. He could hear her scream. This was wonderful. Ivan of course couldn't intervene on what the wolf was doing, he could only watch. He saw Alex's wolf beside him, his muzzle had blood splattered all over it. Ivan watched as Alex's wolf started to hesitate. He saw a spark in the wolf's eye. Alex was controlling it. Deciding that Alex had enough, Ivan used all his power to tell his wolf to growl at Alex. It listened to him, pushing Alex away.
Clara found the next prize, a handbag. In Taylor's little sister's bedroom, underneath her bed. She gave it to Hannah. The next one, sunglasses, in the bathroom, behind the sink. Clara couldn't stand this for another second. She just gave the answers and let the other girls have the stuff. She decided she'd had enough and told them to find her in the spa. She pulled off her shoes and dropped her shorts, sliding into the spa. She sighed relief. Her feet were killing her.
Alex slunk away into the shadows. He saw the party. He started towards it, hypnotised by the lights and music. As he came closer and closer to the house, his wolf started to tell him to back away, a human was close by. Alex didn't listen to whining noise. He padded towards the patio, before spotting her. Her green eyes fixated on him. Alex looked into those large eyes, he didn't just see green. He saw trees, leaves, moss. He saw his mother's car as she drove away, leaving him in the woods, because she was afraid of what he'd become. He'd only been a little boy.
The girl's face was fearful, but magical... he was taken back by her. She was beautiful. But something about her seemed... familiar. Then he saw it, fifteen years ago, the little girl in the park, her long black hair like a cape as she tried to run away from Ivan, snapping at her heels. The mother, grabbing the two year old, and climbing the tree. The wolves were barely in control that day, it was a few days previous that one of their members had been killed by a hunter. But that girl, had always been in the back of Alex's mind. That frightened look on her face, the one that she had right now. Conforming to his wolf's demands, he backed away.
Clara watched the wolf retreat into the woods. It awoke something inside her. A memory, of her mother. It was blurry around the edges, definitely her mother.... she had her arms spread out, her face was frantic, worried. She called out Clara's name several times. Clara shook herself awake. She was only two when her mother left. It was impossible for Clara to have memories of her. Her mother left her and Olivia one night, she just slipped away into the forest and was never seen again. Clara remembered waking up that morning, to the sound of baby Olivia crying, and her mother no where in sight. She waited on the front porch all day. Waiting for her mother to walk up the driveway. But she never did.
"What are you doing in here by yourself?" Taylor asked, appearing out of no where. Clara jumped.
"Oh sorry! My feet were killing me-" Clara arose to leave,
"No, stay. I'll join you." Taylor shimmed into the spa. "So, are you enjoying the party?" Clara nodded as Taylor slid closer.
"It's a heap of fun." Clara lied. Taylor laughed.
"You aren't having fun are you?" Taylor said, Clara blushed, "It's okay, you don't have to be afraid of me, it's not like I'm going to smite you for saying this isn't your scene." Clara laughed. "Clara, I like you. You're... different... you don't see things the way the other girls see it. Like... a pair of my outdated shoes, you see it as old shoes, and that's what they are... while everyone else sees it like the body of Jesus." Taylor moved closer. Clara began to get uncomfortable. "You would rather chill out in a spa than trapeze around with everyone else." Taylor was basically two centimetres from Clara's face. "You see a kiss... just like a kiss... simple... but affective in getting your point through." Taylor than, much to Clara's surprise, kissed her on the lips, her lips soft, but plump, Clara tried pulling away, but Taylor put a firm hand on the back of Clara's head.
