13. loving is easy

she melted into the kiss, still in pure shock.

their heads tilted in opposite directions, pressing their lips together. it was a gentle kiss that lasted maybe for 5 seconds, but for those 5 seconds, they couldn't be happier.

dream was shocked that mavis had kissed him back, but he didn't complain. "do you believe me now?" he asked with a smile.

"no." she teased with a tint of sarcasm. he rolled his eyes at the girl, and gave her another kiss. this one was a bit more passionate.

"okay fine i believe you!!" she laughed, making his smile wider. he interlocked his fingers with hers, "good."

they stayed at the beach as an escape from all the boys at home. her head rested on his shoulder, "it feels so nice to finally get that over with." dream said truthfully. "you don't know how many times i wanted to say that!"

"you are the biggest pussy ever." mavis teased, causing him to let out an exasperated gasp. "i'm a pussy? you can't even swim!" he snapped back, giving her the same energy of sarcasm. "oh you dickhead!" she giggled, taking out her water bottle and splashing him with it.

"hey! woah!" he tried to dodge the water but terribly failed. she ran out of water, and he pull out his water bottle. "we can talk about this." she said dramatically. "it's too late for that.." he splashed it on her.

mavis and dream loved moments like these— they felt like they couldn't really be like this with anybody else. without each other they would be completely different people, they were the reason they believed in love.

the two drove home, blasting music, with their windows down, blowing their hair.

"loving is easy! you had me fucked up!" rex's voice sang.

( if you didn't know, rex is a singer that sang loving is easy !! )

mavis and dream laughed at the lyrics, realizing how much it matched their relationship. the pair sang along to that specific song, louder than any other. they were finally happy knowing they both shared the same love for each other.
