[A/N: again innocent babies, underage drinking = BAD]
Friday rolled around and Kageyama was feeling hopeful for the weekend. Hinata had actually talked to him a little at practice. And even though Hinata said he had plans tonight, he did tell Kags they could talk tomorrow. So yeah, progress. Finally.
Kageyama had showered and changed, getting ready to go to a frat party tonight with Noya, Bokuto and Kuroo. This party was at the baseball fraternity house, so lots of volleyball players and lots of other jocks would be there. Kags met Noya outside his dorm, the two stopped at the apartment to pick up the others, and they walked to the party, which wasn't far away.
The four (and usually Hinata too, but he wasn't with them tonight) had a sort of unwritten rule to mostly stick together at big parties to make sure the others didn't do anything too stupid. This usually meant Kageyama, and sometimes Kuroo, were bailing out Nishinoya and Bokuto, who tended to get very drunk and very rowdy at every available chance. Tonight was no different. Kags was holding a red solo cup hanging on the fringes of a big living room watching his super annoying, crazy, loud senpais get stinking drunk, spill beers, start fights or at least do some trash talking, hit on girls and/or guys, dance, and basically be drunk fools. Observing from the sidelines and drinking steadily was just fine with Kageyama.
***********
Hinata was not especially enjoying this party he went to with Atsumu. It was alright at first. He had a few beers and there were a few people there he knew well enough to talk to, but at some point he lost Atsumu. One minute he was next to him in the game room, and the next minute, he was nowhere to be found. Hinata had been wandering around the house for the last fifteen minutes looking for his friend and he was starting to get annoyed. He made his way to the kitchen but it was hard to see with everyone being so tall. That made him feel even more pissy. He noticed that a bunch of people had gone outside through the nearby backdoor and decided to look for Atsumu out there.
He exited the door and looked around. There were a few groups of people at the fringe of where the light illuminated the yard. He couldn't see faces from here, so he'd have to get closer to try to find Atsumu. He had only taken a few steps away from the door when a huge figure blocked his path. Hinata looked up and began to feel alarmed. This guy was big, probably a football player. And he was so drunk he was slurring his words. This is not good, thought Hinata.
[*TW: sexual assault/attempted rape but not too graphic. I marked when this scene is over]
Drunk asshole [DA] #1: "Hey, look. It's that little cutie who came with that new volleyball player with the piss-colored hair. Hey cutie. Where's your boyfriend?"
Hinata: "He's not my boyfriend."
Another very buff, very ugly, and very drunk football player came up to stand next to his friend.
DA #2: "Even better! Hey, can we get you a drink?"
Hinata: "No, thanks."
He tried to walk away, but the first asshole grabbed him by the upper arm and none too gently.
DA #1: "Hey, not so fast. Why don't you hang with us a while and get to know us a bit."
Hinata looked at his arm, panic rising in his chest at the physical contact, but he tried to stay calm. "No, thanks."
DA #2: "What's wrong pretty boy? You only go for volleyball players?"
Hinata hesitated and replied: "I'm just looking for my friend. Let me go."
DA #1: "Nah. Not done with you yet." The guy started dragging Hinata to a side of the yard where the light from the porch didn't reach. DA #2 followed and before Hinata could react, the first guy had him pinned to a tree while the second guy looked over his shoulder.
