Part 12. Why can't feelings be an option

A/n: Hey thank you all for waiting for this chapter it has been crazy recently and I forgot to update. So I will try to be better about that but no promises. Anyways you guys are amazing, last time I was here I think this was at 400 something reads now it is 600 something. That's insane. Hope you like the chapter.

In the morning you all were walking to the great hall, You had transfiguration and then DADA. You weren't very fond of Moody, he gave off weird vibes but you had to go to class anyways. Of course don't forget you had to end the day off in study hall with Snape. 

"Harry, have you figured out the message in the egg yet" You decided to spark conversation since everyone was sitting in silence.
"No not yet"
"He isn't even bothering to try," Hermione chimed  in.
"Well cedric hasn't figured it out yet either but he is trying."
"Well i don't even know where to start"
"Well you have to bloody start at some point" Ron now entered the conversation as well.
"I mean cedric might tell you if he figures it out"
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"You warned him about the dragons it's only fair he warns you about the second task, whatever it may be"
"I guess you're right"
"Oh bloody hell" Ron exclaimed
"What?" you asked in a confused tone.
"Look at the time we have to go to class but I haven't finished!" ron explained
"Oh, come on ronald" Hermione lectured him.
With that you all got up and headed to transfiguration.

*Time skip*

    Transfiguration went as normal, today you were trying to turn a toad into a teacup and back. You and mione easily completed the task. You just can't say the same for Harry and ron.
You guys were now walking to DADA.

*In DADA*

    We walk in and take our seats.

"Right today we will be learning about the three unforgivibale curses, does anyone know what they are?"
Everyone looks around the classroom of course they know they just didn't want to say them.
You slowly raise your hand.
"Yes Miss Diggory"
"The three unforgivibale curses are the imperius curse which allows the caster to control the actions of their victim, the cruciatus curse which when used gives the victim unbearable pain, and finally the killing curse which does exactly as it sounds when used the victim will be killed in the matter of in instant, however there is one known survivor."
"And who might that be?" You looked at the man he already knew who it was of course everyone does but he wanted to hear you say it.
"Harry Potter, sir"
"Correct these will land you a one way ticket to azkaban, now has anyone seen these in action?"
You had seen all three in action when the death eaters took you captive. You once again slowly raised your hand. All eyes landed on you.
"Ah now when Miss Diggory did you see these curses in action?" Wasn't this ilegal surly there was no way he was allowed to be asking such things much worse would he demonstrate them?
"A few years back, professor."
"Do you mind giving more details miss-" He was cut short by hermione.
"Professor i don't think that is needed look at how uncomfortable she is"
She was right, you had been shifting in your seat. You weren't comfortable at all talking about this especially not in front of the entire class.
"Quite miss granger!" Moody snapped, but he did move to his table forgetting about the question he asked you.
"The first curse the imperius curse used to bend the mind to the casters' will."  He described how he pulled out a spider from a jar.
"IMPERIO" He yelled and the spider started dancing around the tables and eventually landed on a kids face. the kid screamed everyone laughed at that even hermione chuckled but you stayed quite this isn't right these things were used to torture people and you had seen them all first hand. He had now put away that spider and pulled out a new one.
"The cruciatus curse used to cause unbearable pain."
"CRUCIO'' He yelled. The spider was being crushed by pain and you could tell. At the sight you and Neville winced in fear. His parents were tortured for information years ago, well you however had seen people with this used on them and it was used on yourself. Just the thought sent shivers down your spine.
"Now the last curse is the killing curse used to well kill your victim" He explained as he stopped hurting the spider.
"AVADA KEDAVRA" He shouted and just like that the spider was dead. You all watched in terror. Moody looked around clearly proud of his work.
"Now then class dismissed" You all got up and left as fast as you could.

"Are you okay Y/N?" hermione asked when you were in the hallway.
"Um i think so"
"That man is bloody horrible" Ron exclaimed "Why would dumbledore ever hire him?"
"I don't know but we better get going. We have a study hall with Snape remember?" you questioned
"Ok" The three agreed.

    We arrived in the great hall (I am sorry if that isn't really where this took place i am just assuming) and took a seat close to the twins and Lee. (i am adding lee for reasons you will see later).

*Fred pov*

We had arrived at study hall a few minutes before Ron, Hermione, Harry and Y/N. When they walked in, Y/N looked a bit shaken up. I just shook the thought out of my head.

*a few minutes later*

We had been studying for a few minutes now, and I decided to mess with Ronnie a little. He and harry were talking about the ball so i crumpled up a paper which i had written,

Better get a move on or all the good one will be taken

And threw it at him. He looked at it and then whispered to me.
"Who are you taking then?"

Before answering i turned to nevile
"Hey neville mind doing me a favor?"
"I uh sure, what is it?"
"Distrat Y/N for me will you"
"Sure fred" He shrugged and walked over to Y/N once they were working on something , I looked back at Ron and pointed towards her.
"Y/N?" He whisper yelled at me.
"Yeah"
"Have you even asked her yet?" Hermione asks
"No but I am planning to."
"I thought you would go with angelina" lee chims in
"Angeilna why would I go with her?"
"She just seems attached to you so I thought you know?"
"Yeah no,  what would i even say to her if i did want to go with her 'oh angelina would you please accompany me to the yule ball'"
"YES" Angelina shouts which turn all heads toward her.

*Y/N pov*

I hear Angelina shout "'YES" so I turn to look at her as does everyone else.
"Yes i would love to go to the ball with you freddie!" I hear her say in a quieter voice. My heart shatters at her words, I mean me and Fred we're not dating or anything but we were on good terms right?

Oh god who am i kidding of course he would want to go with someone his age, why would he ever want to go with me.
"Um do you understand now neville?"
"Yeah..Yeah I do" With that I get up and hand my work in. I start to head towards the doors.
"Y/N i'm-" Fred started but I ignored him and continued walking, I walked to the courtyard with tears streaming down my face. Little did I know that Cedric was there.
"Hey what happened?" he asks in a worried tone
"Fredrick Weasley happened"
He pulls me into a hug while I cry and smooths my hair.

*Fred pov*

God I have screwed up massively. I just got Y/N back and already messed it up, how stupid can i be. I got up  and followed her out of the hall. I was looking for her and I found her. In tears being comforted by her brother. I stood there, did I do this to her? I hurt her so much it sent her into tears. Just then Cedric looks up and sends me an angry glare. I knew that he was going to get back at me for this, but Y/N being hurt by me was enough payback already. I knew I wasn't welcome so I went back to Gryffindor tower. I just hope I didn't screw things up for good
