"El, you should get going to class." Luna spoke softly as she was getting ready to leave herself. I was now cuddled in my bed. I shrugged, and heard a knock at the window. It was my owl North, she must have been feeling lonely. I opened it and she flew in. I stroked her head softly.

"I think I am going to send a letter to Professor Flitwick and tell him that I can't make it." I grabbed a piece of parchment, and began carefully writing.

"I will tell him as well, if you would like." I nodded gratefully and she left. I folded the parchment and attached it to North.

"This goes to Professor Flitwick, I promise when you get back I will give you a treat." She snuggled into my hand then flew off.  I took a deep breath, trying to control my emotions.

George's POV-

I sat waiting for El to walk through the door, but she didn't. How could she miss charms? The seat next to me was empty, and I knew it was my fault. Merlin, I hated that Lavender and all the trouble she is causing.

"You reckon she is coming?" Oliver had turned around and was now facing me. I shrugged, and focused on the front of the classroom.

"She will get over it and realize what happened. Don't worry about it Georgie." Fred was trying to make me feel better, but it was not working. I felt like the biggest git. Professor Flitwick walked in and began the lesson.

-----------------------------------------------

North knocked on my window, and I opened it, letting her fly in. She was holding a letter. I opened it, it was from Professor Flitwick

"So sorry to hear you are feeling ill. Please see Madam Pomfrey if it worsens. Read from page 212 to page 314 for next lesson."

I swallowed hard and took out my book, only to hear another peck at the window. It was a school owl, it had another note. I opened it to see George's messy writing.

"Meet me in the astronomy tower tonight at 8. I love you."

I scoffed at the last line. If he really loved me would he go around kissing other girls? I was seething with anger, but couldn't help think back to what Hermione said. I should let him explain before jumping to conclusions.

I waited until seven thirty to head out. I skipped dinner and slowly got ready. I stayed in my uniform, but I took my hair out of the bun I hastily placed it in when I was studying and fixed my makeup. I walked slowly and did not run into anyone on my way to the top of the astronomy tower. George was already there, looking out over the grounds.

"George?" I questioned toward him. he spun around and smiled.

"I didn't think you would come." His voice was deep and smooth, and made my heart beat faster.

"Neither did I." He took a step toward me, and I took a step back. He nodded, and took a deep breath.

"I know what you are thinking. I did not kiss her. She jumped on me and kissed me." I rolled my eyes, and walked by him and toward the window. "I pushed her off of me, but her lips did touch mine." I looked back at him, my anger rising. "It was disgusting, and I felt horrible."

"Good, you should." I knew I was being harsh, but I could not help it. I was devastated. He cringed at my words. "I was stupid enough to believe you, was i just another practical joke for you?" My voice cracked. He shook his head and walked towards me, and grabbed both of my hands.

"El, you are not a joke. My feelings towards you are not a joke. Bloody hell El, I love you." He took a deep breath, and squeezed my hands. His eyes stared into mine. They held so much emotion, and I knew my eyes betrayed me by the smile on his face. I squeezed his hands back. I believed him.  He pressed his warm lips to mind gently. I kissed him back, and let myself melt into him.

We finally pulled away from eachother and I interlaced my fingers with his. He began to walk and pull me with him.

"I have something to show you love." I couldn't hemp but giggle.

"Where are we going George?" He shushed me and shot me a devilish smile. We climbed down from the tower, and he pulled me through the hallways. Finally we stopped at an unused classroom. He winked and opened the door. Soft music flooded my ears. He shit the door behind me. The room was lit by floating candles. I could softly hear Van Morrison's Moondance playing in the background. I gasped and looked at George.

"Will you dance with me?" I smiled and nodded. He leaded, badly, but it was the thought that counted. I couldn't help but laugh the whole way through the dance. He did the same. The music drifted off.  We eventualy walked back to my common room.  I kissed him softly, and he left heading back.
