I woke up to a knocking at my window. I turned over in bed, staring at the ceiling. The pale moonlight coming through the window was the only light in the room. I opened it quickly. In flew North with a sealed piece of parchment. I quickly grabbed it, carefully opening it. I recognized George's messy handwriting.

El,

I miss you already. But I am excited for tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes.

I hope home is okay.

I love you.

Xx

I sighed, wishing to be there with him. I was so jealous. George, Fred, Ron, Harry, Hermionie and Ginny were all going. And where was I? Home, by myself. I mean my dad was here, but he dosen't count. I sighed and considered going to stay at Luna's, but what was the point. I was leaving for Hogwarts in a few days and I still had to go to Diagon Alley to get my school supplies. I sighed in discontent, before flopping back down on my bed, George's letter in my hand. I thought about writing back, but I was too disappointed about not being there to do so. I rolled over and softly petted North, who snuggled into my hand.

I sat up in bed, unable to sleep. I grabbed my robe off the back of my door and slipped in on. I quietly made my way down to the stairs. I heard talking and stopped in my tracks.

"Severus, I just want to meet the girl." A weird voice spoke, making me shift uncomfortably.

"No my Lord, she is too young." My father. His words were pleading. I suddenly realized who he was speaking to. Voldemort. My breath caught in my throat.

"One day she wont be." He mused, making my stomach churn. Was he talking about me? I attempted to quietly make my way back up the stairs, but I was too scared to move. I heard a slither next to me and saw a snake slithering up the stairs. That was enough to knock me out of my trance and send me running back to my room. I locked the door behind me, knowing a silly lock wouldn't keep Voldemort out if he wanted to get to me. I grabbed my wand, holding it at the ready, waiting. But nothing came. No one came after me.

Then there was a knock.
