Chapter 30- A Walk To School

U.A Grounds: 8:27 AM

Midoriya and Uraraka were walking along the pathway to the main U.A building, they were having a light conversation, making little jokes here and there as they walked along.

"That's so funny Deku-Kun." Uraraka said before breaking out in a fit of laughter as she walked beside Midoriya.

'Her laugh is so cute...' Midoriya thought as he stared at Uraraka, her laughter fading off into small giggles and then silence.

"Is something wrong Deku-Kun?" Uraraka asked as she noticed Midoriya staring at her.

"O-Oh, no nothing's wrong..." Midoriya said nervously. 'She noticed me staring...' Midoriya thought as he looked away from Uraraka, blushing slightly.

'What was that about?' Uraraka questioned as she watched Midoriya look away from her before turning to look forward.

The couple walked on in silence for a while, their eyes on their surroundings before one of them decided to do something...

'I wonder...' Uraraka thought as she turned to face Midoriya. 'Would he mind if I grabbed his hand?' Uraraka asked herself as she looked at Midoriya's right hand. 'I could try...' Uraraka thought as she reached out for Midoriya's hand.

'Is that..?' Midoriya questioned as he felt four fingers intertwined with his fingers, blushing faintly.

'I hope he doesn't let go...' Uraraka thought as she shyly looked away from Midoriya, her face slightly flushed.

'It is...' Midoriya thought as he felt Uraraka's palm pressed against his palm. 'Wait, is anyone around?' Midoriya wondered as he looked around quickly. 'No...' Midoriya thought as he let out a small sigh. 'I guess it's alright then...' Midoriya thought as he looked over to Uraraka and squeezed her hand slightly.

'He squeezed my hand. Does that mean..?' Uraraka questioned as she turned to look at Midoriya.

As Uraraka turned to face Midoriya he had a bright smile across his face and a faint blush that told Uraraka everything she needed to know.

'I guess he doesn't mind...' Uraraka thought as she smiled back at Midoriya.

The couple continued to walk to their homeroom, occasionally moving closer to each other to hide their intertwined hands from other students walking to class, that was the case until they heard the sound of loud footsteps behind them...

Class 1-A Dorm: 8:28 AM

"Where did Midori and Uraraka go?" Mina asked as she noticed the absence of the two.

"Looks like they left early." Shoji said as he couldn't see them anywhere.

"What's been up with those two lately?" Toru asked as she sat down in a chair at one of the tables.

"What do you mean Hagakure?" Ojiro asked as he looked through Toru.

"Ever since we found out about Midoriya's issues those two have been way more comfortable around each other *Kero*." Tsuyu said as she sat down next to Tokoyami.

"Yeah, usually those two are blushing messes around each other, now they hang out early in the morning and eat together." Mina said as she sat down next to Toru.

"And then there was that thing at the talent show." Jiro said as she recalled what happened back then.

"Thank you Ochako. You always tell me what I need to hear." Midoriya said, just loud enough for the now quiet auditorium to hear, completely calm.

"Y-You're welcome D-Deku-Kun, I just w-wanted to h-help." Uraraka said as she was being held by Midoriya in front of the audience.

"Maybe they're just becoming better friends. Besides, they weren't that bad around each other to begin with, at least not all the time." Sero said as he sat down at a table, followed by Kaminari and Kirishima.

"Exactly Sero, Uraraka may be acting as Midoriya's emotional support since she's the only one that he is aware of that knows about his issues." Iida said as he took a seat next to Todoroki and Tsuyu.

"Maybe you guys are right, he does seem better than he has been lately." Toru said in a dispirited tone.

"I guess that is a possibility..." Mina said as she laid her chin on the table.

"We should get back to breakfast, we only have 15 minutes before school. It's 8:30 AM." Momo said as she looked at the clock before going back to eating her breakfast.

"Wait what!?" Mina yelled before looking at the clock in disbelief.

"We gotta go fast!" Kaminari said as he started to devour his food. 

The next few minutes were a scramble for the remaining members of Class 1-A left in the dorm.

Everyone started and finished their breakfast within 5 minutes.

Those that came down in their uniforms being Bakugo, Koda, Todoroki, Tokoyami, Tsuyu, Momo, Ojiro, Shoji, Sato, Jiro, and Iida started heading toward the school, all sprinting or using their quirks to get to class on time.

Those who hadn't come down in their uniforms or needed a change of their uniform being Mineta, Aoyama, Sero, Kaminari, Kirishima, Mina, and Toru got to their dorms and quickly changed into their uniforms and ran out the door in an attempt to get to class on time.

The fastest students of the class being Iida, Bakugo, and Todoroki had even managed to catch up to Uraraka and Midoriya. 

U.A Hallways: 8:40 AM

'What's that sound?' Uraraka thought as she turned around to see Iida sprint around a corner. 'Oh, it's just Iida.' Uraraka thought as she turned back around. 'Wait, it's Iida!' Uraraka thought as she let go of Midoriya's hand.

"Hmm, what's wrong Ochako?" Midoriya asked as he noticed the lack of Uraraka's hand in his hand, turning his head to look at her.

"Iida's coming." Uraraka replied as she stepped away from Midoriya, looking him in the eyes.

"Oh no. D-Do you think he noticed us h-holding hands?" Midoriya asked nervously as he stood completely still.

"No, I don't think so..." Uraraka replied as Iida came skidding to a halt in between them. 

"Hello Uraraka and Midoriya, I must say I admire you two for leaving early as I the class president would have been late if I didn't run." Iida said as he looked in between Uraraka and Midoriya.

'It looks like he didn't notice.' Midoriya thought as he held a hand to his chest.

'It doesn't sound like he saw anything.' Uraraka thought as she let out a small unnoticeable sigh.

"Y-Yeah, we just decided to go because we were already dressed and weren't going to eat breakfast, but we should probably get inside before Aizawa-Sensei gets here." Midoriya said nervously as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Right you are Midoriya." Iida said as he opened the door and walked into the classroom, immediately heading to and sitting in his seat.

"That was close..." Uraraka said as soon as Iida was out of earshot.

"Yeah..." Midoriya said with a relieved sigh. "Shall we?" Midoriya asked as he gestured towards the door.

"We shall." Uraraka replied as she walked into the classroom with Midoriya following close behind.
