(RILEY'S POV)

After the subtle nod of ROSE'S head to let me know that she could handle her 'lovers tiff', I headed off to my car. Darren had offered Rose to run her home earlier today and I'm sure he will offer again.

I rounded the corner to my car and found an unwanted surprise left on the hood. "Get off of the hood of my car before I drive off with you on it and hopefully drive over you in the process." I opened my back door and chucked my bag into the back before slamming the door shut again.

"You don't really mean that." Nick drawled as he reclined onto my windscreen with his hands behind his head.

"Get. Off. My. Hood!!" I hissed at him. He just opened his eyes and looked at me through heavy eyelids.

"This light is good for your complexion and if you weren't scowling then I would even go as far as saying you look hot." His sexy smirk was silently mocking me and I hated the fact that he had to be so good looking and yet such a tool!!

Ignoring him, I moved to the drivers side door to get in but found the door being blocked by a tall and extremely fangsome man. "You didn't wait for me as I asked." He said in a more serious tone now; the smirk no where to be seen anymore.

"You didn't ask though did you? You told me what to do." I retorted and tried to get around him to the door, only to have him move in my way again.

"As soon as your friend realises that she's in love with Alexander, which we both know is true, she will marry him and they both will be happy. Until then, we need to make sure she doesn't run off and so I'm stuck babysitting you." That left me gaping at him.

"You're stuck babysitting me? You're STUCK BABYSITTING ME!!! Well, I don't exactly like your company either. So just LEAVE ME ALONE! This girl doesn't need a babysitter!" That brought a wave of sadness over me for both myself and Rose because of our neglect. "I've never needed a babysitter." I whispered the last part to myself and thankfully he didn't seem to hear.

"Well as soon as this is all over I'll be out of your hair for good!" He snapped back at me and his tone had turned emotionless.

"Thank God! I might actually have peace then, instead of a vampiric stalker!" His face turned dark.

"Well when I go at least I'll be going back to a girlfriend!" My mouth dropped open. I honestly didn't think that he could shock me until that.

I took a step away from him and couldn't even look him in the eye. I kept my head turned and facing the ground as I continued to back pedal away from him. I tried to feel relieved that he didn't like me in that way, but somehow I couldn't and all I could think of was our kiss and him wanting to change me... It was all fake? Part of his 'babysitting job'?

So I wasn't worth his time of day if it didn't involve helping Alexander? I wasn't good enough for him?!"

With my lip slightly quivering I murmured, "Ok then. Well that settles that issue." My heart felt heavy and I felt tears form in my eyes, I just couldn't find the trigger for my anger against him.

"Riley wait." He said softly as I turned around but I just ran away from everything: The school, Alexander, Rose but most importantly Nick and the feelings that always stir inside of me whenever he's near.

"Riley wait!" The shout was further behind me and when I thought I was a safe distance away from Nick, I sat down on the grassy floor. Without even thinking about how I had come this far away from the school and into some wooded area, I let the tears flow freely.
